Holy Night
Twinkle of a star
Led men to the
Wonder of a king’s
Bed and might
Sleeping in a barn
A stall
Filled with animal
Wetness and breath
Holiness to save us all
That star still shining
Calls us home
Dulled now by lights
Man-made and hung
Without thought for the one
who saves us from being alone
In the darkness
Raise your head
Look upward to a star
Which still points
To the One who left
A Throne to lie in that bed
