For Too Long

For Too Long

For too long God’s family
His church
Has sat silent
On too many subjects
Is this not a form of neglect?

All those eyes every day
You will look into
Faces you will peruse
Each and every one
Is the face of a someone
Ending up
In one of only two places

Do we not care
As we return their stares
If it’s an eternal Paradise
Or a hell brought about
Within some demon’s sick device

We are meant to be
His hands, his feet
So get out there
Make known his fame
Carry his name
And help save Christ’s world
This glowing, rotating
Large green pearl
So all may see his light
And a Holy Spirit’s flame re-ignite!

For Christmas Giving-Third Book in a Trilogy!

Just out! Enjoy this new release of the third novel in my Trilogy – The Nashville Detective Series – Christian Mystery with a Punch! All three novels are set in Nashville, Tennessee, Music City USA, and the home of country music and the Grand Ole Opry. Available on Amazon.com as paperback and ebook Amazon.com

When Heaven Saves — A small boy lays shaking in terror as he hears the explosion of a gun in a small apartment in the middle of the housing projects of Nashville. He is the lone witness to the murder of his latest babysitter.

Once again Detective Hayden Douglan and Pastor Samual Thomas work together for the welfare of the young, traumatized boy as they dig beneath layers of deception to find a young girl’s murderer. Selling of drugs for profit and the agendas of crime bosses hinder a clear cut path to bringing the murderer to justice.

Along with the usual subterfuge and difficulty of bringing a local criminal to justice, Douglan again suspects a foreign influence still operating in the dirty underbelly of life in his beloved city. An organization he thought he had scared off for good last Christmas Eve night comes back to haunt the daily life of not only the city’s residents but also Nashville’s police force.

Douglan and Samual battle with all their energy to protect little Joey as his life is endangered for a second time as he is sought after by another man who he witnessed kill his mother. All of heaven’s armies fight along side with them to prove that God’s power always triumphs no matter the trial and horrors life may throw at anyone at any time!

Of Power

Of Power

A vision was given
An impression received
Beautiful yet frightening
So clearly seen
Yet sometimes even I find it
Hard to believe

That You would honor me
With this vision
Of Your holy one
This angelic messenger
Impressed was I
Of that you can be sure

In his great power
& in silence he stood
On a cloud so white
In his full magnificent glory
And Your Most Holy Might

Beautiful,
Over his skin’s surface dwelling
Rainbow’s colors changing, moving
Of Your spirit’s beauty was it telling

His eyes full of so fierce a light
It gave my heartbeat a moment’s fright
Compelling, yet I yearned to turn away
Yet held was I & stayed

With one wink
Destroyed could he have me
Ferocious in his glory
Showing only the story
The completeness of
Your Glory’s overwhelming power

Although sometimes I think
Does it take a slightest toll
Upon the stronghold of my soul
These dreams, these visions
Yet I beg please, please do not scold
Because I have from the very start
In telling of had only best intentions
For your soul’s peace of heart

I had a very terrible start in life. An orphan from birth, I was shuffled between an orphanage and foster care. I have known lovelessness and having nothing in life, but somehow God found me. Even at a very early age, say 9 or 10, I was able to feel a presence in my life. They said I was a highly sensitive child. An elder at our last church said I seemed to be a very spiritually sensitive person. I’m thankful to God for staying so close to me as I never really felt loved or that I really fit in anywhere even after I was adopted.

He has at times given me dreams and visions or impressions which I have talked about on this blog site. I pray I could make God feel more real for you.

We have a small second story balcony off the front of our townhouse. It’s up so high you get a panoramic view of the sky and the clouds. I was out on it one day when I felt I could envision a flat platform made of only clouds with more leading up to it. At the top was a very tall angel dressed in a short white tunic and holding a massive golden spear in his hand. His face was beautiful but frightening to look at, resembling a human face but not quite like a human’s. His eyes were piercing, and when he looked at me it felt as if he could destroy with just one look. He was beautiful but frightening to look at. The overall impression was one of extreme, extreme POWER. God has never allowed me to feel His power to that extent before.

I think in our American culture and even in a large number of our churches we have lost a deep sense of spirituality and the knowledge of the existence of the supernatural or spiritual level of existence. There is more to the world than just what we see with our eyes.

I pray you will have a very blessed day. Try to stay safe and may God bless you today with the knowledge of His extreme love and power over all events down here. Praise God!!

Faith

Faith

My faith is all I have
To carry me
To the other side
Before I leave
Before I die

Large, monstrous
That great gift
Given so we may sift
Thru all life’s pains
Knowing, at times,
It will cause major rifts
Between us

But even God Himself said
As He walked, talked
And eventually bled
I come not to bring peace
But a sword
A man’s enemies
Will be his own family

So do not be discouraged
If in your own life
These words come true
For I have seen & known
Never will He leave you
Never will He forsake you
God forever His promises will keep
Even as you slumber
Even as you sleep!

To Trim

To Trim

God does not waste words
Nor does He mince them
Away with the useless fat
Of words will He always trim

Saying what He means
For He is unable to lie
Upon His words you may depend
Or someday may be required to die

When He says don’t
Do something
He means it
So forever leave it
That thing
& don’t do it!

His words are there
To bless you
Although at times
They will most certainly
Test you
But still in that deepest part
Your innermost heart
Allow them to caress you!

The Cell

The Cell

Alone
And in my empty cell
I try to find the words
To tell
Of Your Great Beauty

You come to me
Across a dark, dampened floor
Only the light on Your Face
Helping my soul to soar
Over & above
Whatever life’s tomorrow
May hold for me in store

So,
Whatever prisons you
Must face
Only on our Christ’s
Loving face
Will you be allowed to trace
The strength, courage
You will need
For your songs to sing
Of this Prince of Peace
This Heavenly King
as upward toward
His Heavenly gates
He alone carries each soul
On the Purest of Glory’s wings!
