 Monday Prayer

 Jesus,
 You own
 Your world
 You made
 It
 Only You can
 Save
 It

 And us
 From ourselves
 So please
 Won’t You
 Come dwell
 Within us,

 Me
 So I may see
 You,
 Father,
 Holy Spirit
 As You really are

 Come to know you
 Better
 Watch you as you
 Scatter
 Yourself and gifts
 To us

 I need you
 Come walk
 Around inside
 my life
 to end the
 strife
 between us

 So it is not I
 But you that
 Lives in me

 Thank you for
 Showing me
 Your way
 So straight
 As You fling
 Open Heaven’s
 Gates.

 Praise You
 Lord Jesus
 Forgive me.
 In your name
 Amen

Dull Ache

 Dull Ache

 A Dull Ache
 Somewhere
 In the middle
 Growing larger
 No longer little

 A need
 more insistent
 Almost a sharp
 Pain
 Then becomes
 a Joy
 This, the means
 You employ
 To draw me
 Closer

 Your Spirit
 Entices
 I come to
 a Sun,
 Beautiful Light,
 Perfection
 Holding only
 Life

 Your Purity
 Your Goodness
 You breathe
 Eternity
 Return to me
 I will return
 To you

 As my
 Desire
 Intensifies
 I wonder
 When it will
 Be met
 This ache
 This longing

 We all
 Within feel
 This unmet
 Need
 We constantly
 Try to fill
 With shallow
 Thrills,
 Cheap pleasures

 Life can feel
 Like walking
 Uphill
 With a heavy
 load
 Your beauty, God
 the only real
 goad
 To continue

 Earth
 As it is now
 Will never be
 Utopia,
 [perfection’s
 power]
 Only with
 Christ’s return
 Will that
 For which we
 Yearn
 Be Met!

Revelation 7:9-10 After this I looked, and there before me
was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation,
tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before
the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm
branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of
living water’, and ‘God will wipe away every tear from
 their eyes’.

Still Walking

 Still Walking

 The world
 Is dead
 But up &
 Still walking
 Around
 Working,
 Playing
 They sound
 Alive

 But. . .
 Without Christ
 God, their Father
 Anyone like
 That
 Is dead
 Already
 In their heads,
 Hearts,
 Denying their
 God

 They just don’t know it.

 So many living
 Without Christ
 So spiritually, totally
 Dead
 So Sad
 But, with that said,
 should we not warn
 Them?

 To keep them
 from:
 The outer darkness,
 Weeping, wailing
 Gnashing of teeth
 Worms that never
 Die
 Fire that is never
 Quenched

 More than just
 Once
 These things
 Are described
 Prophets,
 Christ Himself,
 Not to be denied
 Said out of love
 For Us

 It is our
 Responsibility
 To Warn
 Not with a tongue
 So glib
 But with Loving Hearts
 & Words
 As Christ
 Himself Did

 Out of
 His Great Love
 For Us
 He warned
 As you would
 Warn any child
 Its hand to keep,
 Avoid,
 Not to seek
 That deadly fire
 & its
 Unspeakable Pain.

Matt. 13:49 -50 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the blazing furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Mark 9:47-49 And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell where,

the worms that eat them do not die

and the fire is not quenched

Everyone will be salted with fire.

Isaiah 66:24 And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”

The ANSWER

 Answer

 Most stand calling
 Not realizing they do
 What is it they Desire?
 They need You,
 Lord, God
 The passion, fire
 Of your heart
 For them!

 That is the answer
 We all need.
 In blindness &
 Stumbling, fumbling
 Is this not what
 We all seek?

 Seeking joy, peace,
 Fulfillment,
 Love
 We wander, fight
 Shove
 For our share
 Of this earth
 When all true life
 Flows freely from above.

 INSIDE GOD’S HEART
 We were made to live
 From the very start
 This is the purpose,
 ANSWER
 For which we were
 Created
 In only this,
 Are all needs sated

 To live daily
 In contentment
 More Fulfilled
 Try as much as you
 Can
 To live inside
 His Will
 His Intellect,
 His purposes

 Your old man
 That self
 Must be killed
 To let Him have
 His way
 Over you
 His sway
 So you may say,
 Not I but Christ
 That liveth in me.

 But because we turn
 Away
 Harden our hearts,
 Without our true calling
 We endlessly wander
 Thru all of life
 Unsatisfied, discontent
 stumbling
 & falling

Movie Risen

A few weeks ago, I saw a movie, Risen, starring Joseph Fiennes as a Roman Tribune who helped to crucify Christ and then miraculously got to see Him after He has risen from the dead. I thought the movie was really good and stuck to the text of the Bible fairly accurately. I loved the scene where the Tribune gets to see the man he helped to kill sitting alive in a room among His disciples and followers. In that scene, Fiennes did a good job of portraying the shock and amazement of seeing the resurrected Lord. Also the scene where Christ heals a leper is good.

If you get a chance to watch this movie, I think you will enjoy it. I cannot begin to imagine what it must have been like to see a dead man raised to life and walking and talking among us and then get to watch Him ascend back into heaven to return to His Heavenly Father. Praise God!
