A World

A world once

So green and fair

spinning in air

now dipped, drenched

in a Savior’s red blood

only way to

cover its darkness

 

 

Nobodies

 

Christ,

Hanging on that cross

Did you know my name

Did you see from there

This my sometimes

lonely way?

 

Born alone

Into a freezing cold

I took my first breath

Orphans too have souls

 

Tossed about

In waves

Beyond my control

Landed at last

upon a very rocky shoal

 

bent but not

completely destroyed

created in, by the light

not just for an evil’s toy

I sat alone, waiting

existing within your might

 

A nobody,

One of the Least

of the least of

The Least

 

Rejected in a

World’s insanity

Why do we not love

These Our own,

Parts of ourselves

I too belonged here also

 

Yet as

You hung upon that cross

You turned your face

Upon my future

Offered me your grace

Yay, I’m saved!

 

 

 

In the Middle

You came and put
Your throne
In the middle of my life
Inside the darkness, pain
& chaos, sorrow and the strife

Planted Yourself
Pushing, moving aside
All people, places, &
Things, showing how
To reject my old enemy’s lies

Circumstances are fluid
Ever changing in a world
So sadly lost
Cling to Christ, our Lord
He alone did pay the cost

Of your freedom from
Insanities of this world
Its cruelty, lies and sin
Another place awaits
A forever home you will win

In a book so rich in truth
A teacher once said
To live as foreigners, aliens
Never make a forever bed
On this face of this
Dissolving earth

God alone is your
True home
Mother, Father
Closer than a sister
Or any brother

All here is temporary
Pain is only for today
Cling to God
In your heart His love
Is meant to always
& eternally stay

With a roar & in great heat
Old ways, this earth
Will vanish, disappear
Making His forever love
Always & ever more clear

All new life,
Immortal, glorious,
Will spring forth
Resplendent on a
Newly recreated earth
Shining forth into an eternal,
Complete & total new rebirth!

Love
Complete, perfect
Unblemished
Flies
Cavorts from
Above,
Heaven’s skies

Never absent
Always present
Waits, begs, cajoles
Bends to beg
Holds out hands
Waiting
For the return of
Man

Adoring
Always imploring
Return to Me!
Yet in darkness
Or ignorance
Ignoring the plea
Refusing to see

We reject
Turn the back
Upon the only true
Beauty
A universe has
To offer
Driving the nail
Into our own
Coffins

A few will
Come
Some will see
Bend the knee
Rejoice
At the voice
That leads
Them home

So do not
Miss
Refuse the
Kiss that
Awaits at the
End of this
Life
So full of strife

Accept the gift
Let it lift
You above this
Darkness below
He wants you
To come
To know
All the beauty he holds

Paradise, waiting
Take the pure
Unsurpassed Joy
Ecstasy, bliss
Make the choice
Follow Christ
Be glad
Maybe leave this
World a
Little less Sad.

Shades of Whispers

Shades of whispers
In my ears
Under desperate suns
Incite many to fear

Spoken by an enemy
So wise
Deceitful, clever
Bent on telling only lies

Spoken in a serious voice
Misleading always
Inclined to make you
Think you have No Choice

But you do.
A bloodied cross made
Sure of that.
God’s Infinity of Love
That forever lasts.
