His Power over Darkness

According to my adoption records I was a sensitive child. I once had an elder of a church say he thought I was a spiritually sensitive person. I know it has been a blessing in my life. I know in this world, especially in our very wealthy, money oriented culture that is so in love with ourselves, money, possessions, and pleasure, we have a tendency to deny or neglect the spiritual aspects of our lives. We are truly spirits only temporarily connected to our physical shell.

I have had several supernatural experiences, and what I guess I’m trying to lead up to is I have had three encounters with demons, very dark creatures.

The first happened many years ago when I was going through a very dark time in my life but trying to draw closer to Christ and God and the Holy Spirit. I woke up one night and a dark mass felt like it was laying on my chest. I was afraid and all I could think to do was say “In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, be gone.” It immediately was gone, left.

The second encounter was when I was on my first round of chemotherapy for my breast cancer. I was sleeping in an old recliner and suddenly woke up. I looked down and this dark person was laying on top of me. It looked up at me, smiled a perverted smile and asked, “Susie, what are you trying to do with this book.” I naturally was frightened but again said, “In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, be gone.” Within a heartbeat, it was gone. I was at the time working on a novel which I have finished which was about the useless divisions within our Christian churches or denominations we have created.

The third experience came about a year ago. I am still suffering fatigue from all the cancer treatments. One night I was awake, and a very dark man was in the room with me suddenly. I said, “In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, be gone.” He said to me, “No, it doesn’t work that way.” I immediately yelled for a second time, “Oh yes, it does. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, be gone.” And he disappeared instantaneously.

Praise you Lord Jesus for the beauty of your face, your great and loving heart and also for your wonderful power and authority over everything in creation. Bless you Lord!! Thank you for your salvation from all of Satan’s schemes against us.

God Defeats Your Enemies — Pure Glory

Still Walk

 Still Walk

 Still, quiet, slow
 Calming
 Taking each step
 One at a time
 A spirit moves
 Follows behind

 Placing each foot
 Firmly
 Upon this dusty earth
 Peace, stillness
 Both given new birth

 They are brought to life
 Again
 Each footstep He takes
 Will never be erased
 Even in the midst
 Of life’s harshly blowing sands

 His presence, Himself
 This Creator Christ
 Walking still among us
 Leaving footprints
To follow if you will look
 to truly see and trust

 So, risk the walk, begin
 Put your foot inside
 His footsteps left behind
 He leaves those promises
 Of His Peace to reassure
 Those who will struggle
 Stay faithful, pure
 Unto the very end!

Peace I leave you. My peace I give to you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not be afraid
and do not let your hearts be troubled. John 14:27

Lamb on A Cross

 Lamb on a Cross

 Meat, red, raw
 Trembling &
 Unprotected by
 Skin
 Or anything

 The man groans
 A lamb on a cross
 Red meat exposed
 To air
 & no one there
 To seem to care!

 Blood gushes
 Red & also raw
 As demons dance
 On the dark ground
 Underneath the sounds
 Of his groans

 They squeal, scream
 With delight
 The light has been
 Quenched
 In the sight
 Of the whole world!

 Or so they think
 But this cup He
 Must drink
 Only for a few hours
 Will prove to crush, sink
 Hell’s greatest hopes.

 As evil flames lick
 The base of that cross
 The man suspended
 In air
 Dies
 No more earthly cares
 Or sighs
 For Him.

 Praise God!!
 The ground trembles
 It quakes
 A massive stone
 Rolls away
 The beginning of this
 New day
 Opens heaven’s gates
For all seeking a better way!

 Hell has lost
 Christ has won
 Heaven’s purest Son!
 His obedience poured
 Out thru His blood
 Ran to ground

 Our obedience
 Poured out thru
 our hearts
 A fresh, new start
 Every morning to
 Mimic our King
 Be forgiven thru
 The blood of
 A lamb on a cross!!

Buildings

 Buildings

 Buildings
 Scraping the sky
 Tall
 Virtually canyon
 Walls
 Of concrete, steel
 Glass, stone
 I look up to feel
 Microscopic beside
 Them

 Cold, impersonal
 Hard
 Where is the soul
 Not within a shard
 Of them
 We have lost our
 Way
 Giving sway
 To concrete

 Looking into the sky
 I cannot help but
 Realize
 This world, culture
 Has denied
 The one who made
 Us
 Loves us, cares for
 Us

 A holy, magnificent
 God
 So we would not
 be lost
 Daily, over our heads
 He pleads, begs
 Pursues
 Me, I, you & you
 & you

 But our hearts
 Lay hardened
 Rebuffing,
 Rejecting
 The One who
 Loves the most
 Father, Son &
 Holy Ghost

 Our souls lay hard, buried
 Within, beneath the concrete

Me on a Cross

 Me on A Cross?
 I see a lifeless form
 On a wooden beam
 It groans
 Mouthing a bloody foam
 Another useless dream
 Or message to be seen?

 Maybe both
 Dream and message
 It raises its head
 Showing sweat &
 Tears it has shed
 Staring into the sky
It carries the face of I!

 It is me,
 Me on that cross
 I am where we all
 Surely would be
If not for the other face
 That took my place,
 Jesus of Nazareth!

 Sinner, rebel,
 Against a one true
 God & Father
 I deserved that cross
 Perhaps in celestial eyes
 Only another piece
 of human dross.

 In pain,
 As I cursed His name
 Jesus, son of God
 Tore my flesh from
 The nails
 Put himself there
 To complete Heaven’s
 Most loving job

 Christ took my place
 That place which belongs
 To each & all
 Wicked rebellors
 Against our Father
Now we sing a new song

 Of Christ’s love
 God’s forgiveness,
 Freedom,
 From a worn-out
 Worldly kingdom
 Captives to sin
 Set free by his death
Breathed upon by a fresh breath
 Of life’s new resurrection!
