Set Apart
We were meant
To be set apart
I believe this
Deeply in my heart
Different we
Should striveto be
So all the world
May see
Our Leader
His purity
Love
Light
Goodness
To this we Should run
As we struggle
To shun
The world
Sure, we have
To live in it
Love it for sure
But
We are not to
Be of it
We’re meant
To live
In a way much
More pure
Not as greedy,
Sexually immoral,
Bloodthirsty,
Selfish
These things
We should
Not be
His holy love
More giving
The world
In Us
Should see
A Holy Bride
He longs for usto be
As we wait on
Bended knees
Longing to please
Only Him
Let us win
This race
As we let go
Of every trace
Of ourselves
Let us dare
To be different
Stand out
Give a holy shout
Christ’s Name
It is the same
Yesterday, Today
Tomorrow
For His return will
Overcome
All death, pain,
& every sorrow
Smear Campaign
A smear campaign,
A dark, thick smoky
Cloud
From eons ago
From the beginning
Hoping it would be
Winning
Against Heaven’s
Throne
Against the Holy
One
At first this cloud
Merely a slight stench
But
Today,
There is a mighty
Fist clenched
Around the throats
Of man
An evil hand
Works against the sons,
Daughters of man
Worldwide
Grown stronger
Only because we
Have lingered
To listen to its voice
At its gates longer
Than we should
Telling us we
Are only physical
Only the natural
Exists
This naturalism
Fighting to form
A schism
Between man
And His Creator
It’s goal
Is to destroy
All efforts
To acknowledge
Man has
a soul
Eternal, unending
Ageless
To Smear, slander
God’s holy family
Point out its flaws
Of which it has many
Still under Christ’s hand
It struggles forward
At His command
To love His world
So the great destroyer
Entices
Uses our vices,
To draw man in
To this ancient battle
satan knows
he cannot win
destroy everything
spiritual
a worldwide campaign
in a sense
literal
using our worldly
lusts
those great two
Money, Power
as the world
spins toward
a darker hour
powers that be
are blinded
cannot see
they are being used
& very abused
to try to bring about
a kingdom’s
end
As I glance upward
To the skies
Using our greatest weapon
A prayer begins
Within my heart I cry
As the battle around me
Intensifies
You See Me
(God)
You see me
I am known
In You I may
Grow
Become
More
Of What
You See
Me to be
A daughter
A son
With this thought
May I run
Be Still
Let you fill
My
Empty Hollows
Monday Prayer
Jesus,
You own
Your world
You made
It
Only You can
Save
It
And us
From ourselves
So please
Won’t You
Come dwell
Within us,
Me
So I may see
You,
Father,
Holy Spirit
As You really are
Come to know you
Better
Watch you as you
Scatter
Yourself and gifts
To us
I need you
Come walk
Around inside
my life
to end the
strife
between us
So it is not I
But you that
Lives in me
Thank you for
Showing me
Your way
So straight
As You fling
Open Heaven’s
Gates.
Praise You
Lord Jesus
Forgive me.
In your name
Amen
Dull Ache
A Dull Ache
Somewhere
In the middle
Growing larger
No longer little
A need
more insistent
Almost a sharp
Pain
Then becomes
a Joy
This, the means
You employ
To draw me
Closer
Your Spirit
Entices
I come to
a Sun,
Beautiful Light,
Perfection
Holding only
Life
Your Purity
Your Goodness
You breathe
Eternity
Return to me
I will return
To you
As my
Desire
Intensifies
I wonder
When it will
Be met
This ache
This longing
We all
Within feel
This unmet
Need
We constantly
Try to fill
With shallow
Thrills,
Cheap pleasures
Life can feel
Like walking
Uphill
With a heavy
load
Your beauty, God
the only real
goad
To continue
Earth
As it is now
Will never be
Utopia,
[perfection’s
power]
Only with
Christ’s return
Will that
For which we
Yearn
Be Met!
Revelation 7:9-10 After this I looked, and there before me
was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation,
tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before
the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm
branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of
living water’, and ‘God will wipe away every tear from
their eyes’.
