LOVE

I cannot Save You Sitting on a throne Royal blood decided And even though angels chided His mind would not be changed I will go do this Their eternal bliss Hangs in the balance For this they will Have utterly no talent I myself will save them! So do not look to me I too must stay on bended knee For my own salvation to receive On a pedestal do not place a human I do not wish to draw you toward me. My, man’s blood, is tainted And although a human head May be called sainted Still man’s blood is impure For none will escape that tragic allure Sin still holds for all of us It took the blood of the purest of all To cleanse our darkest sins You must follow His voice & His alone If You truly desire to win This battle most ferocious we all currently struggle in, For Only Christ’s Holy But bloodied, clean waters Can remove the blackened stains Of our, (man’s), horrific sins!

Wait Patiently It will come That Holy Son Will return So today of all days do not spurn His loving kindness Even as we wait He holds open Golden gates To life, joy peace They will of course For later keep But should we not seek Them even now? Somehow We are meant & are being sent From heaven’s royal thrones To gather all those dry bones Back to life Awake, arise church, awake! For all our sakes Go forward Lead this land Back toward Those nail-scarred hands His paradise awaits For this is the truest of all fates!!

Eden (save it or lose it) Clouds swirl The ethers twirl in moving thick clouds obscuring regions below until at last pierced by sun’s arrows to show Eden, perfection’s newest glow a paradise’s home Man never meant to roam lives in perfect peace with all Until he turns his back on his Lord’s call, his name, creation & life And through that one act brings forth pain, death & strife for the first time darkness permeates the garden but wait, wait there comes a second call to revive us from the blackest pit of our slippery, plunging fall Jesus Christ, that light on the cross a perfect lamb sent, holds out a hand to save every woman, every man we must play our part let him have our complete heart to generate a new start for ourselves and this planet’s life we all have our own part to play if in our own days we want to help receate Utopia our very selves to save & rejoin ourselves back to God It is Your choice never will be forced Live totally for & with God or Be swallowed by the darkness where never will you rest You will be enslaved, forced into that violent machine, that dark team Of satan’s demolition service and help shred Utopia into pieces

Consumer-ism Consumer-ism here Consumer-ism there Consumer-ism everywhere It travels by land, Travels by sea, Flies through the air! Consume it preaches Consume it teaches With long taloned Fingers it reaches To hold, enfold Everyone, us all Until the last remnant Finally is sold Taught by all advertisers Those oh so clever despisers Of thrift, economy The idea that you do not Have to own each & every thing you see! And so this culture rolls on Grinding out the same old song BUY, SPEND, CONSUME We continue to follow, Dance to their mesmerizing But false, lying tunes, That large volumes of things Bring us true joy Only more and more toys Will satisfy But still life hurts, disappoints And we softly cry Knowing somewhere inside Something is wrong What if, Instead of all the preaching Of material wealth (it is a form of belief) We as a people began to teach Not to be good consumers Of mere physical things But let our voices ring, sing good sellers, tellers of Jesus of Nazareth The Living Christ I will say it twice, even thrice God is the center of your being Only in HIM is life, true seeing Of love, joy, deepest peace It is of HIM we should happily teach And only, only of HIM consume!!

One Star One Star Glistening amidst A dark ocean awash In navy blue It was a night truly With pure holiness imbued Dare I speak of such A precious light, This blazing star Known by and followed By three wisest men From afar To find a ruler foretold In their sacred writings of old So, in their wisdom They left behind everything For just one glance Of His Majesty, a newborn King! To dirty, dusty Bethlehem They went on that darkest night And in a manger’s stall They heard his first cries, bawls Saw a mother reach to comfort A tiny infant’s tears Whose small hand would grow Be nailed to a cross To banish all men’s fears Of sin & death forever Their privilege was to Witness a royal birth Of these two lights, One above, The other, Eternity’s Love Flung down to save all On God’s good earth!!
