Naturalism

Naturalism

Naturalism they call it

Morality relative only to

what I think

but Wait –

that changes

each time I blink

A world so cold

Post modernism has told

Us, We, Man, no longer

Have a Soul!

All that exists

Is only what you can see

or touch

All to me is only physicality

So should I run the risk

Of losing all meaning

To all life I see which surrounds

Are We truly simply dust

Made up only of elements

Found within the ground?

There is no right or wrong

Found within nihilism’s siren song

Only a birth & a death

For each of us

Then we will no longer swim

In this life’s stream

We simply cease to be.

How depressing!

I am glad I do not believe

What I am told

By your world

I believe a holiness, a soul

Dwells within

As most ancient civilizations

Believed

We are seeds

Of a Holy God much greater!

Angel Dance

Angel Dance

Angel Dance

Angels dance lightly

On gossamer’s chords

Spun from joy’s beauty

As beams of your grace

Are flung brightly

You watch in delight

As your glory, light

Pulsate, glow

Within the energy

Of your eternal might

Longing to embrace

A world laying waste

Homes, families

The world they walk on

Listening to dark demons’ songs

So, as your angels dance

At your feet

I too give a longing glance

To pray for my world

To keep,

Follow the light of God’s face

To return to the warmth

Of His everlasting embrace.

Free Will!

Free Will

Given a choice

Never will He force

Desiring for a place

Inside your heart

Holding all the power

Yet longing for the hour

You will choose

His embrace

Owning every heartbeat

but never will He leave

Anyone behind

Yearning for His Face

So, make the right choice

Listen to the voice

That leads to eternity’s

Truest joy and

Christ’s Glorious, Glowing Life!

Battleground #2

Battleground

Darkness chases me

From an ancient enemy

Hot breath behind

On my neck

Running I scream

For someone to protect

My heart

I labor, I pant, I moan

Pain, terror fills the air

Eyes closed from fear

I crash into your chest

You stroke my hair

Embrace, folding me

Into the gentle nest

Of your heart

Your light explodes

Filling my orphan’s world

Making up for my lacks

Of home, family

Giving me yourself,

Lord Christ,

And our joyful ecstasy!

A Creeping

A Creeping

(a prayer)

Sadness creeps in

Between the cracks

Of my Darkened heart

That I wear

Holding on to

Every care

Help me, Holy Spirit

To let go

So old memories

May no longer hold

Their black power

Thank you for appearing

Willing to come nearer

To this world’s & my pain

Trying to teach me

The strength within your name

Of Glory, Majesty, power

Over heaven and hell

Urging me to tell

Your nearness to me

For a spell

Of Your Beauty’s angels,

Darkness’s demons,

Your blinding Light

Help me to do it right

To spread your goodness

To a world so dreadfully,

Desperately, in need of

Your Love’s Passion

And Perfectly Pure Might!!

Falling Leaves & Fuzzy Grass

Falling Leaves & Fuzzy Grass

Through falling leaves

& fuzzy grass

I hear fall’s whispers

As I pass

On glass waters

I watch you float

In orange, sun-yellows, gold

You gloat

Undisturbed by my remote

Passing by

I hold this day

Within my heart

Knowing from fall’s colors

I shall have to never part

So, if I am allowed to walk

Longer upon this earth

At another day, another time

I shall once again be witness

To that christening divine

Of yet one more glorious fall’s birth!
