To DANCE in the RAIN!

I dance in the rain

Under dark, cloudy skies

With arms, hands raised

I offer up my only gift

Of joyful praise

Upward in our God’s name!

Life’s rains on all
Will fall
But that only
Sends out the call
To love harder
Dance even more
As the painful rains
Around us pour
Our God suffered
the rains also
To help us grow
In grace, to become
Closer to His face

This loving Christ

On man’s evil cross

Still offered to us

His Glorious & Eternal

Joy-filled Paradise!

Do Not Continue

Do Not Continue

Do not continue to lie
And give only half-truths
To me,
Pastor of today
You are supposed to be
God’s wisdom-filled sage
Do not continue to say
I may live as I please
Lusting after all the things
I only can touch & see

Even with all your degrees,
You should be on your knees
Leading the way
To a better day
Do not let, allow
The evil one to win
Lead us away from all
This world’s increasing sin
Another voice is screaming
More loudly every day
Telling me you’re
Leading the wrong way!

Stand up!
Be God’s man
Lead this country, our land
The way it’s supposed to go
His Son you MUST SHOW
If salvation will come
Before it’s too late
& many will be left knocking,
crying outside forever
The glory of God’s heavenly gates!

 Monday Prayer

 Jesus,
 You own
 Your world
 You made
 It
 Only You can
 Save
 It

 And us
 From ourselves
 So please
 Won’t You
 Come dwell
 Within us,

 Me
 So I may see
 You,
 Father,
 Holy Spirit
 As You really are

 Come to know you
 Better
 Watch you as you
 Scatter
 Yourself and gifts
 To us

 I need you
 Come walk
 Around inside
 my life
 to end the
 strife
 between us

 So it is not I
 But you that
 Lives in me

 Thank you for
 Showing me
 Your way
 So straight
 As You fling
 Open Heaven’s
 Gates.

 Praise You
 Lord Jesus
 Forgive me.
 In your name
 Amen

Buildings

 Buildings

 Buildings
 Scraping the sky
 Tall
 Virtually canyon
 Walls
 Of concrete, steel
 Glass, stone
 I look up to feel
 Microscopic beside
 Them

 Cold, impersonal
 Hard
 Where is the soul
 Not within a shard
 Of them
 We have lost our
 Way
 Giving sway
 To concrete

 Looking into the sky
 I cannot help but
 Realize
 This world, culture
 Has denied
 The one who made
 Us
 Loves us, cares for
 Us

 A holy, magnificent
 God
 So we would not
 be lost
 Daily, over our heads
 He pleads, begs
 Pursues
 Me, I, you & you
 & you

 But our hearts
 Lay hardened
 Rebuffing,
 Rejecting
 The One who
 Loves the most
 Father, Son &
 Holy Ghost

 Our souls lay hard, buried
 Within, beneath the concrete
