In the Above

In The Above

In the above, those celestial skies
Surely, God must shake His head & sigh
‘Will they never learn’?
He watches as we all despise
His love’s most generous guidelines
But still I suppose
As only He most assuredly knows
& so forward & on He goes
Still trying our souls to win
Keep us from that damning sin
Of our total & defiant rebellion

But,
Lucky for us,
Our God is not a quitter
We are the ones
Who turn our backs & run
From
His wonderful perfect grace
Reflected in Beauty’s Love on His Face

So,
Be different from the rest
Do not put God to the test
Stay, live to enjoy
Those Eternal Pleasures in store
Between Infinity’s Gates they await!

A Fiery Dance

A FIERY Dance

When I think of Jesus
I think of fire & a heat
Found only in
the cadence
& the beat
Of His Intensely Holy Dance!

So trembling, with moving feet
Across the room I sweep
Caught up in, entranced
Within Your Holy Dance!

Limbs intertwining
By your side I am sighing
For this enchanting dance,
We should ever be so willing
To suffer any reprimand
Or even the risk of dying
From the hand of man!

Testify, Testify

Testify, Testify

Speak in whom you believe
Don’t be afraid to let
The whole world see
Show your faith
Break open those silent gates
& Testify

Life is not about
Philosophy or religion
But a Someone
A one and only Son
Salvation came
Only because He gave
His Life

We are a creation
Made in Someone’s image
To be a smaller imitation
Of His Greatness’ reality
A goodness, love,
Righteous purity

So, let go
Let the words flow
Speak their names
Christ, Yahweh,
Rejoice you are allowed to say
Ring out the words
About whom you believe!

A Passion

A Passion

A passion has been lost
To the winds has been tossed
Blurred, obliterated
Distorted
By modern distractions
Almost destroyed

But,
All’s not lost
Passion can be revived
If we will but try
Embers are still burning
If to His heart
we will be turning
Letting go of an ancient enemy’s lies

Stir the lurking flame
Found only in Christ’s name
Arise, ignite
Fan to life
In His sight
The now slumbering giant
Upon whom our faith is reliant
Called by the name of
FAITHFUL SACRIFICE!

Fine Tune

Fine Tune

Fine tune me like a fiddle
Carve me, shape me
In your hands may you whittle
Until I sing, resonate
And to your tunes vibrate

Play me all day long
Projecting, singing
Only your songs
Of Your Joy, Love,
Glory, Stupendousness
And may I only in your hands,
Lord God,
Sound out the songs
Upon which others may dance!

Colors of Christmas

Colors of Christmas

Red and Green are
Everywhere seen
For Christmas
Was there a reason for these
Surely there must be
Or so it seems to me

Red in the berries
For the blood that Christ shed
On a cruel cross
As Mary’s body was in pain at your birth
Her heart’s pain at your death most
Assuredly must have been worse

Green for the life that Jesus
Gives freely everywhere
For our souls like plants may rise
Upward to live in His purest of airs

So maybe there was a reason
For the colors of this joyous season
May you come to know the miracle and wonder
As God’s love and mercy ripped asunder
Death’s power over us all forever
Through the birth of Jesus,
His One and Only Most Glorious Son!
