Quietly Soft but Deadly

Quietly Soft but Deadly

It may start,
(for most it does)
Quietly & softly
In the heart
Deception
Seeking reception
Into your innermost recesses
This will be your greatest test

Large numbers
Consciences so burned
They will not recognize
So it will quickly seize
Its chance to take hold

satan will try to sneak in
a foothold he lusts to win
Evil hoping to replace
The least little taste
Of Christ’s lovely perfection

The darkness says
Christ does not exist
But the strongest weapon yet
In its arsenal
To persuade you satan
Does not exist

This you must do
Go to any lengths
Use all your own
& lean on the always there
Of Christ’s strength!!

Unbreachable Walls

Unbreachable Walls

Owner, Owner
Not For Sale
My mighty walls
No one can scale
If power is what
You wish to claim
No one can breach
The POWER found
In My ALMIGHTY NAME!

So turn run,
If my power & love
Are what you wish to spurn
Because,
Soon to return is
My One & Only
Eternity’s SON

Innocent,
He bled for you
My perfect sacrificial Lamb
But soon overhead
Skies will be rent
By His Perfected Hand

Your real power
Lies in letting go
Of yourself
Return home to me
Before it is too late
And alone you are left standing
In the darkness outside
My Eternal Celestial Gates!

I don’t know(demons)

Don’t Know (demons)

I don’t know
Why you would give me
such experiences
Surely you could have found
Someone of more uniqueness

An orphan from birth
One of the least of the least
Assuredly you could have
Chosen someone less
Beaten to their knees

Demons are real
Come only your safety to steal
Roaming from another realm
Come to destroy any peace

The first was only a black blob
I suppose from all the darkness
Through the eons he had trod
Speaking Jesus’ name
Was the only way
To end the purpose
for which he came
To bring me only pain

The second attempted to
Look like our God
On a throne he sat
Extended a hand
On this one I slipped,
Trusted
He touched my lips
Next morning, I was sick

The third, well
Looking like a child
Fearful when it smiled
Trying to beguile
Teeth, pointed, razor sharp
After one look
Asked about my written book
In appearance only stark
Shade of black and grey
Only with Jesus’s name
Did it disappear
No longer to terrify
In my ear

Perhaps the most fearful
In appearance of all
A grown man, strong and tall
No color to brighten his blackened visage
I said ‘In the name of
Jesus of Nazareth, begone
Arguing replied, ‘Doesn’t work like that’
Screaming I answered
Oh yes it does,
Repeated Jesus’ name
As before all the others
He left
Running from the light
Of our universe’s Master
To hide from His glory,
His power’s might
Our Prince of Peace
Lover of our souls!
Eternity’s Most Beautiful &
Wonderous Sight!

A Daughter, A Son

A Daughter, A Son

We are his daughters, his sons
If your Father were under attack
Would you just turn tail
And run?
In my heart, I hope not

When they deny His Name
They abuse His Spirit
Of
Perfect Love, Joy, Peace
Patience, Goodness, Kindness
To name a few
But it is up to all of us
To me and you

An evil, destructive satan
Wants to destroy all of us
And watching the world today
He does it without much effort
Or a fuss
God’s disciples we are meant
To be
So our Father’s love & forgiveness
Every eternal soul here may see

It truly is a battle for our
Hearts & minds
So step up,
Join the front lines
Even pain-filled at times
As it might be
Because,
Without us in the war
The enemy has already won!

The City

The City

A Wondrous City
This Holy Jerusalem
Containing at one time
A temple built for only
           HIM

His presence to visit
Between golden cherubim’s wings
He listened
While choirs on its steps
To Him did sing
His Name
His Power
His Fame

To it one day
This Only God
Will return
After all evil
Is vanquished
Destroyed
In one heartbeat,
Burned

So we raise holy hands
As we fall to our knees
In obedience’s path
Seeking only to please
(to be transformed
your earth & us)

No longer to rebel in ignorance
Against your beauty
To rise to Your higher calling,
That greater, purer duty
And follow Your Forever Call
Watching, waiting
As once again your raise
Her holy walls
Regrow, renew
Re-begin
This Holy Jerusalem!

Come

Come

Come, Lord Jesus, Come
Lord, King
My Master
To us, please, please return
Rend the sky
Waiting, I watch
Look up & sigh

But first,
Come perhaps
More softly
In Your great love
Rend, tear our hearts
Of this world
Surely, You’ve had
More than enough

Help us, lead us
Show us only for life
Your way
On the face of this planet
Tired am I of an ever present
Internet
Its siren song, misleading fantasies
Enchantment

Save us as only You can
Before you choose to return
To create Your promised land
New Earth, New Heaven
Make us Your hands, feet
Put in our hearts Your Love
So evil’s destructive voices
May You at last
Totally, completely defeat!
