A new covenant
A new mercy seat
To make us more whole
Ever more complete
With arms outstretched
This resurrected Christ
Promises us new life

Long, long ago
During a desert journey
So arduous
Our Creator/God
Reached down
With Holy Hands
So glorious
To lift us up
Toward Himself

Creating a Golden
Ark of His Covenant
Between cherubim wings
He placed a Mercy Seat
Atop it
It would be for His people
Of His Love, GLORY,
Presence
A strong deposit

But with Today's
Newest covenant
God's Presence
Comes alive
A Living
Resurrected Christ,
His new Mercy Seat,
To recreate in us 
A new heart, new mind,
A completely transformed
Resurrected life!!
