Hard Words

Hard Words

Hard words fill the air
Rotating, flipping everywhere
But
Did you know
In an ancient Holy Book
If you dare to take a look
Are also found hard words

Such as,
In a great Revelation
‘niether cold nor hot’
‘I am about to spit
You out of my mouth’
Hard to hear
But spoken in a prophet’s ear

We must take up that cross,
Whatever form of pain
It takes,
And follow Him
If not,
He says we’re not worthy
Of Him
His salvation no one can win
Without a struggle
Against a lost world’s sin

We are His salt
But if we lose His Spirit’s flavor
No longer us will He exalt
But be dropped
Ground into earth’s dust
No longer us will He adopt
To be His very own

We must follow His commands
Rebuking the sin
Found lingering within
Each man’s hands
Without obedience
Like the rest
We too will be lost
Left among a darkness
So totally distraught

Today God’s people need to
Follow His voice
Make, even if it is,
A difficult choice
Stay true to His words spoken
Don’t throw only a slight token
Of your lukewarm affection

Commit to the Spirit’s fire
As it comes to lift you higher
Than a mere man’s imagination
Within his small soul can begin
to ever, ever comprehend!

Revelation 3:14-16 These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness of, the ruler of God’s creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were either one or the other! So because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Matthew 10: 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

Matthew 5:13 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

Hacks

Hacks

Those spiritual hacks
Can catch you
Will stab you in the back
So be most careful

Coming from a place of darkness
Bringing only strife, extreme pain
Arising from a satan’s fury
Coming sometimes in ones
Or often groups, in a great flurry
By winds of evil sent
To destroy, maim,
Their only intent

But
A power stronger
More intense
Can dissolve, destroy
Within only one word
A Holy Name
Always it is one
The same
JESUS

Demons have no strength
By God’s Holy Hands
Will be forever rent
None of hell’s dark things
Will ever overcome
As saints stand & out loud sing
His Name
His Praise
In this,
His Forever Of Days!

Already There

You’re already in eternity
Rest on this most assuredly
God’s time is always
The NOW
Never ceasing
His wisdom lovingly endows
If you will but listen
Let yourself with a new Spirit
At last be christened

He will
Change,
Rearrange
YOU
To fit into
His Eternity’s Now
So His strength may
YOU
His Love imbue

Even Though

Even Though

Even though
As the spirit leaves
The body
Becomes an empty
Carcass
Even though as evil screeches
Its joy
Thinking it has won
Frenzied in a dance
Most heartless

From a place of new honor
As you glance only briefly
Back as the demons rejoice
Christ comes most sweetly
Takes your hand
To show His Promised Land

So the ignorance
of the darkness
Will never know
true victory
For them it remains
a mystery
So through your obedience
In your life’s history
In Christ you
will be allowed
With Him
to live most blissfully!

Seas

Seas

Seas, they come
& they go
Over my head
& around my arms
I feel
As my heart begins
To reel

Liquid,
A living Spirit also
Encircling
Surrounding
Every movement,
Every thought
In its power,
This Spirit’s sea
Do I feel caught

Within this moving
Sovereignty
Your joy, Your glee
Entranced
As I watch, see
Causes my heart to sing
Your Name
Yahweh!

Always, ever
Mysterious
Yet alive
Is most impervious
To the loud demands
Of a world most resistant
Around its darkness
Also swirls

But,
Your tides You send
Always coming only to cleanse!
