As the spirit leaves
The body
Becomes an empty
Carcass
Even though as evil screeches
Its joy
Thinking it has won
Frenzied in a dance
Most heartless
From a place of new honor
As you glance only briefly
Back as the demons rejoice
Christ comes most sweetly
Takes your hand
To show His Promised Land
So the ignorance
of the darkness
Will never know
true victory
For them it remains
a mystery
So through your obedience
In your life’s history
In Christ you
will be allowed
With Him
to live most blissfully!
