Fat Cats

Fat cats, Fat cats
Sitting all in line
Meowing, screeching
Even do they whine
Look at me
They groom themselves
Do we not look
So supremely fine

Spoiled are they
Pampered
No wonder they do not care
To stray
Here in this place
They remain
Remarkably so safe

But outside dangerous winds
They blow
Sometimes you must
Face the cold winds
For true courage 
To begin to grow

So step outside your comfort’s walls 
Harken to a truer call
Follow a softer voice
But it must be
Of your own choice
Again, step out
A dark world in need awaits
You just may be surprised
Even a fat cat may be allowed
To help someone through
Heaven's shining golden gates!!

You are there
You fill the skies
The very air
Every breath
Every step
I take

Every heartbeat
Rings, soars
With Your Name
Oh,
How I wish
Pray
For everyone
It could 
Be the same!

You wish such joy
To give
To every soul's
Existence
Longing to fill
Expel
Drive out
Cease
Desist
Between us
Any more distance

So give God, 
Christ
His Holy Spirit
Your Every Thing
And 
He will do
The Very Same
For you!

The hatreds

The greed



To empty myself

Of all worldly lusts

Waging war

Themselves

Into my heart,

Battling,

They thrust



With their painful swords

They slice

Fighting to cut

heaven's cords

But your hands

With Your love's power

Your strength,

They shower



Your fingers

Around my soul

Entwined

Reaching deep

No satanic, hellish

Demons

Can ever reach



So that is why

Every day

I must repeat

As I work, play

Walk or sleep

Not I but You

In me that lives

My salvation

Dear Christ

You protect

And into eternity

You keep!

A Part Of. . . .

A Part Of

Like I was created to be
A part of your great group
Your Holy Trinity!
A smaller part
As I bend down
Worship at your knees

A gift to be like You 
Should that not
My worldly values askew?
A world out of balance
So out of its mind
Tumbling along on a very thin line

Not even your angels
Did You die for
Over us Your Spirit’s healing
Did You wish to pour
To enable, re-birth
Through all the light
& darkness of this universe,
Along its massive girth

No one thing and no one else
Did You create to reflect
The goodness of Yourself
Only us!
Thank you, Dear Lord
In You only 
May I completely trust!
