One Small Fish
Some days
I feel broken
Then I remember
Jesus our God
Broke one small fish
Of food
It was only a
Minute token
Tearing it
Into very, very
Many pieces
His purpose?
So that
He could meet
A greater need
That He
And the Father
Together could feed
Over five thousand
In only one day
So if you
Have to,
Allow yourself
To be broken
Even if many things
You stand to lose
That by Christ Jesus
You also may be used
To feed, to save
Hopefully,
Multitudes of others!!
Warrior God
Hounds on the heels
For days, years on end
Isn’t that how it sometimes
Most usually does it feel
For all of us?
Oh! I cry
Oh, my Warrior God!
Alone and in the dark
Now, incessantly
Do I sob
Demons to the left,
Evil’s pain to the right
Of You nowhere in my vision
Do I seem to catch sight
All around only satan’s emissaries
Alone, alone, always alone I cry
Increasingly my very existence
They overwhelmingly deride
Until I hear your trumpet
I raise my head somewhat
To Your loud commanding roar
I can hear without a doubt
And no longer can contain
My own reverberating shout
As You command, aside evil
Do you toss
For of your beauty’s power
Never will there be a loss
The air around me you purify
You clean
Breathing better all at once
Towards you do I try to lean
On this day, as I am allowed
To gather and to see
The unending sight of my Heaven’s King
Upon His throne
And
Surrounded by your Almighty Power
My soul in ecstasy has found its home!
Hammered
At the hands
Of the smithy

The burning,
Roaring flames
Removed
Only to be
Hammered
Again
God will do this
To us

He really loves you

Cheap magic shows
With their magicians
Do this almost every day

Earth’s future
The biggest, loudest
Most terrifying
“POUF”
Mankind will ever see
God in His wisdom
Knowing what we really need
Is going to destroy all
Of this old creation
Using His best and brightest
Innovation
Will POUF away
All we now temporarily see
Out of sight eternally
Will it stay
To show us His new
Universe, new earth
All the old things gone
A total new rebirth!
Will perhaps roll it up
Like an older scroll
Or maybe in a loud roar
With a great fiery heat
So in this planet do not
Put too much security
All that will be left is
God
And His powerful
Eternity’s Infinity
Where every soul
Will bend the knee
And your dear Father
Face to face at last
