Everywhere!

Everywhere

God is everywhere
Even when you breathe
He's filling that air
Not just in any one location
He's in the place you are
If you wish for a quickening
Then inside of yourself there
Must be a great awakening

But,
We must show up first
If we truly desire to see
The Living Spirit's outburst
Wherein we daily live
Completely back to God
Ourselves must we give

Put God first above everything
Let us put aside distractions
Large houses, faster cars, money
Entertainment, useless possessions
Lusts from a world so broken
Of your soul do not give
Your only Creator
Just a few small, paltry tokens

If we give Him our very best
Then God for us will do the rest
So this will be our greatest test
As first we must
Return to Him
Then He will return to us
To heal our sins’ ugly scars
No matter where you are!!

Action’s Name

Action’s Name

Would we not say
As it is so much
In the times of our
Today
In such splendid ways
That faith without
Works is dead
In almost all churches
These holy words are
Repeatedly said

So we know to take action
That worship in a building
Is after all but only a fraction
Of what God calls us to
So in this oh so blessed country
We feed the hungry
House the homeless
Try to create a land of
Increasing social justice

But on all of our spiritual lists
There is something definitely amiss
One major point we have missed
Courage to stand up
Out loud to say the name of Jesus
Let people know He is the reason
Behind any of our good deeds

To confront evil
Be courageous
The duty of each & every believer
To call a sin a sin
Only in this way can we
Ever hope to win
More souls

So do not fear
To fight alongside
God's angelic forces
(To your life it will bring no remorse)
So after running your life's course
You may hear
From the lips
Of a Savoir so dear
‘Well done My good & faithful servant’!!

Ferociously Wonderful!

Ferociously Wonderful!

Ferociously wonderful
Brighter in every way
Than
A million
Or perhaps dare I say
A trillion
Suns

Tirelessly
God, you work
Your Spirit
To usurp
satan's evils

So on and on You go
Trying to grab, grasp
(Even ferociously if You have to)
Our attention
So evil will surrender
And in our hearts
Take its last dying gasp

The Retort

The Retort

Greedmongers
Here there everywhere
Spinning words into the air
Buy this buy that
So they can have their share
Of our money

Buy things you don't really need
Here it is come & see
Only this new thing
Will make you truly happy

So we listen to their song
How I wish they would leave
Us alone!
They rail they rant
On & on trying to enchant

 But life has more meaning
Than what on a surface
may be seeming
To be so important

A Savior's voice
Trying to retort
To a world's greedmongers
Says there is another better choice

A kingdom of heaven
May first you seek
So your Dearest soul
Will Christ pursue
Desires to keep
Within His hands
Forever to live with Him
In God's most holy & Purest
New promised land!

The Tear

The Tear

Don't cry, Lord Jesus
Why that tear
Does a sorrow to you
Draw too near
I lay my cheek upon your hand
As flowers around my head
Do blend
Let me love you
Oh my God, my dear

You lift the crystal fluid
Off your cheek
Wait a moment
Before you speak
It is not for sorrow
That my eyes do weep
But for pure joy
That in eternity
Forever more
May I now you keep!

Let Go!

Let Go!

He’s after our hearts
That deepest, personal part
Waiting to instill
Himself
That raging, destructive old nature
To kill

But He needs your permission
Your total submission
For us to bend our knees
If a different, better world
We truly wish to see

So,
Let Christ have your total self
Don’t hide pieces upon a darker shelf
Bring out all that you are
Obeying that Spirit’s inner call
For evil’s thick, stone walls to crumble
As Jericho’s walls will they fall

And Our King will rush in
More precious souls to win
Before that last curtain call
As around us all creation falls
Is rendered useless,
Disappears in a roar
Christ’s face will appear
His power at last crystal clear
And for your faith
He will wipe away all our tears
