A cold day arose Over a cross of gold Never was one so sublime Throughout all knowledge of our history & time But for only this one slice of a day Would be it allowed to hold full sway Over the Son of God
Even through all our jeers & our taunts His holy purpose we could never daunt Bearing all our hatred, Toward heaven he raised A face so bloodied & so gaunt
But even then, Was our Lord able back to win from the depths of dark satan's clutches The glory of our precious souls So that at last & in the end We an infinity could live within The brightness of His Holy Glow!
The Remedy
A world,
My own country
Awash with
New, old corruptions
Causing all these
Unfamiliar disruptions
To marriages
Governments,
Our born and unborn
Children
Perverting, wasting
Lives
Why oh why
Will we not accept
The Remedy
Stares us in the face
Instead of listening
To our foe, that
Ancient enemy
We destroy ourselves
With disobedience
Ingest contaminated
Ingredients
From a satan so devious
He rains filth
Upon our heads
I pray for my country
That I love so much
Our money states
'In God we trust'
Then let's do that
Return to Him
He will return to us
So let's arise,
Wake up
Give our best, strongest
Thrust
To save as many
As we can
As Christ holds open
With His own nail scarred
Hands
The gates to His Eternity's
Promised Land!
Bustin’
Massive, unstoppable
Almighty,
Owner of an
Entire universe,
Our home,
This earth
Powerful enough
To stop the dirth
Of Your own Spirit
Inside Your beloved church
You come
In all Your glory
All Your power
Double edged sword
In Your mouth
Let there be absolutely
No doubt
You will be
Bustin' down
The very gates of hell
So in this rhyme
I will say,
Let me tell
No one, nothing
In all Christ's creation
Will stop Him
Or Heaven's celebration!
Uncomfortable
This doesn't really feel like home
I rant, I rave
I moan,
Even give a little
Groan
It stirs in my blood
A longing, this need
Sometimes just a trickle
Or quite often
A loud, roaring flood
A need arises
Raises its head,
A flower's tender bud,
Then opens
Inside my deeper place
I start to recognize
That for which I hurt,
I sigh
I believe it is this,
This place doesn't fit
This world, this place
Well, it's just wrong
My heart, it misses
Dear Lord, Your face
My fingers itch, they burn
Longing to be allowed
Once again to return
Close enough to trace
Your beauty, Your love's grace
But for now I must live here
This becomes ever more clear
Until I leave this fragile shell
However, for today,
You desire others of You
I must tell
This world's pain,
Which we all daily see
Was never meant to be
Christ's Reconciliation
My Faith's Compensation
A Return to Your perfection
In silence I stand & wait
As one of your heaven's gates
Swings slightly open
Daring to call my name!
Help
You Draw near
Power of a trillion sun's
Held in one hand
Sacrifice &
Love of calvary
Within Your heart
I am not worthy
Of anything
About You
Holy Lord
Your great beauty
Incomprehensible power
Your world-shaking
Passion for us
You, the ultimate
King of all kings
Of uncountable stars,
Whole Galaxies
Wants me!!
What can I give you?
Help me then
To love You
Serve You
Sacrifice for You
Your Calvary's Sacrifice
To reciprocate
Help me to dedicate
This, my only small life,
To You!
Condemnation
Condemnation
Such a harsh word
Denotes a punishment
Or even perhaps
A scourge
America's church
Should stop
Take a deep breath
We have entered
A time unique,
Unprecedented
A time of great tests
A culture caught
Tightly, as never before
In satan's grasp
Many lost souls
To his dark chest
Does he clasp
Because
A silent church
Has lost its passion
For the All Powerful
Living Christ
By comfort &
Convenience
Has it been enticed
So we have become
Cowards
At our work
Afraid to speak
His Holy Name
Or simply
As we play a game
Or is it because
We've become too lazy
Allowing all the crazies
To overwhelm our culture
Instead of us helping
God's Holy Spirit
Our lives to nurture
So before God completely condemns
His blessed more than most
American church
Let us once again
Become a shining star
Stop denying
No longer pretend
As cowardice & laziness
Are attractive on no one!
Revelation 3: 15-16 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
