His Kingship!

His Kingship

Get down on your knees
Oh broken, lost world
As the KING of GLORY
Passes by
May I hear an
Audible sigh?

Or maybe not
Because
Of one thing
I fear,
We forgot

Coming from so many
Pulpits of today
Of a very large influence
Are words. . .
Jesus loves you
But of the same pursuance
Should be
JESUS IS LORD,
MASTER, KING!
Of these facts should be
A total congruence!!!!

So many spiritual leaders
Heard today
Strip Christ and the Father
Of their AUTHORITY
Their POWER
Over this earth
This planet
We currently inhabit
This world
This large, glowing
Revolving green pearl

For only this world's Creator King
Has the right to command
His creation
Of this fact the teachers should
Not forget nor shun
It leaves their listeners
Without the correct information

So, put God and Christ
Back on our heart's throne
And take ourselves off
For in life,
There is at least still
One sure thing
He is our most gracious,
Compassionate, loving,
But ALMIGHTY KING!!

Screaming

Screaming

A world screaming
In my ears
Loudly,
Systematically
A world
In love with
Itself

Evil, crude
Carousing
Capable of
Many fierce desires
Arousing

Until
That light
Comes pulsating
Gently pushing into your life
At first maybe small
Then larger
Of tension
Most rife

At odds with
A world's narcissistic
Evil
Christ steps
Sometimes roars
Against
Those strange dark
Messages
Around your heart
Voraciously they soar

So,
Tune out the
Broken world
Tune in Christ
His brighter
More benevolent light
Follow His
Gentle more Holy path
And fall back into
His wonderful, less selfish
Loving Eternal Grasp!!

He Gave Up!

He Gave Up!

Christ did not come

To create a feel good social club

A country club atmosphere

Instead

So our black, sin-smeared

Record for all eternity

He could unequivocally clear

A glorious throne of infinity

He gave up

He came to a barn

A humble stable

Full of hay and animal slobber

Dirty, wet

So no mistaken ideas

Of wealth, lust for money

Would we mistakenly harbor

For this a light filled throne

He gave up

He came to a cross full of

Pain, agonizing torture

So with His death

A broken relationship

Between man and the Father

He could nurture

To give us, you, a Holy,

Forgiven future

For this, through ripped

And torn flesh,

His own blood

Christ gave up!

The Third Temple!

A Third Temple!

Today In Jerusalem
You may hear some clamor
Sounds, voices
In the air float rumors
A third temple they say
Will bring for our earth
A much better day!!

But don't they know
There already is one!
It is you and me
If in our God
Christ Jesus
You wholeheartedly
Do believe!!

Christ does not
Need dead, cold stones
In which to survive
It is within the human heart
He comes best to live
And to most assuredly still thrive!!

As Christian believers
We are living stones
Built up together
As one
For God's Spirit
A newer Home
Along with His Holy Son
Of this newer temple
His Living Cornerstone!!

Once for all
Christ's blood purifies
For a whole world
To see
So with faith
Anyone, everyone
May forever live
At the foot of God's throne
His deeply loved,
Glorified, Perfected
Living Stones!!!!

Stripped

Stripped

Stripped
Meaning to
Be destroyed
Removed
As in to strip old paint
Now old undesirable varnish
Remove old tarnish

As I stand still
Look around
Unwillingly caught
In all the world's sounds
My spirit feels there is
Something amiss
Something
Imprisoned into
A darkened twist
It is our sense of reality

There is a loss of authority
Not of ours, oh no, no
In our own we boast all day
Over that we keep a tight grip
Over that most will sing
All day long
Through loose, smiling lips
It is of someone else's loss

Into the air madly have
We tossed
Christ's authority
Our Creator's Sovereignty
Over everyone, everything
From Him His power
Have we STRIPPED

Today even inside
Large and small churches
Pastors just say
Jesus loves you
Which, of course, is the truth
But downplay HIS KINGSHIP
Is it ignorance or fear
Is it now today
They're afraid to say
He is also our
Righteous Judge
Full Authority, Power
Only belongs to Him
All of life's rules, guidelines
Come from Him

In the middle of today's
Broken world with pain so rife
In its confusion,
satan's evil, full of strife
We need to return to the truth
Of our One true leader's power
And to bend the knee
And refuse to strip Christ
Of His rightful authority
HIS OVERWHELMING MAJESTY
AND UNENDING GLORY!
