Huddling?

Huddling

We huddle in buildings
On one particular day
To throw a few coins
up onto a stage
Mumbling,
Sing just one more song
Hoping it won't last
Too long

Is that really
The picture
We want to paint
Of today's struggling
Church
Do we go just in case
We might need God to
Help us out of
A sudden lurch?

What's happened
To the passion,
Devotion
Of a first century
It grew rapidly,
Even exponentially
Ah, to see
That increase today!!

But
It takes courage
Putting God first
Before everyone,
Everything
So
Let our songs ring
Out loud the words sing
Into our daily actions
Out onto
The busy, chaotic streets
As other souls we meet
In our hearts
Do not let Christ's examples
Abate
As more & more
His Holy Spirit
We come to live out
& to joyfully imitate!!

All My Life

All My Life

It seemed
It felt like
I was
Waiting for a Messiah
All my life
Waiting for Perfection
To end all this
earthly strife
Always I looked
Until I picked up
One small book

And I read of Your story
All that heavenly glory
Come down to earth
In a very humble birth
Born into a world
So dark
You came to re-start
Heaven in man's own heart
Praise You, Lord Jesus
Praise You

Now we have much to
Look forward to,
As we wait for You
To return, renew
Remake our broken earth
& we will be given, share in
Your immeasurable worth
And for those that do listen
With new names
Will they be christened
As all of heaven rejoices!!

God’s Grace

KODAK Digital Still Camera

This was the most important event in human history. The day the God of peace and justice decided to exact our punishment for our rebellion against Him on His One and Only Son, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of the Only Living, Breathing God who willingly took the task upon Himself for reconciling us to His and our Heavenly Father. Praise You Lord God and Jesus Christ Your Only Son for Your Mercy and Forgiveness! Have a very God-blessed day!!!

The Remedy!

The Remedy

A world,
My own country
Awash with
New, old corruptions
Causing all these
Unfamiliar disruptions
To marriages
Governments,
Our born and unborn
Children

Perverting, wasting
Lives
Why oh why
Will we not accept
The Remedy
Stares us in the face
Instead of listening
To our foe, that
Ancient enemy
We destroy ourselves
With disobedience
Ingest contaminated
Ingredients
From a satan so devious
He rains filth
Upon our heads

I pray for my country
That I love so much
Our money states
'In God we trust'
Then let's do that
Return to Him
He will return to us

So let's arise,
Wake up
Give our best, strongest
Thrust
To save as many
As we can
As Christ holds open
With His own nail scarred
Hands
The gates to His Eternity's
Promised Land!

Bustin’

Bustin’

Massive, unstoppable
Almighty,
Owner of an
Entire universe,
Our home,
This earth
Powerful enough
To stop the dirth
Of Your own Spirit
Inside Your beloved church

You come
In all Your glory
All Your power
Double edged sword
In Your mouth
Let there be absolutely
No doubt
You will be
Bustin' down
The very gates of hell
So in this rhyme
I will say,
Let me tell
No one, nothing
In all Christ's creation
Will stop Him
Or Heaven's celebration!

Uncomfortable

Uncomfortable

This doesn't really feel like home
I rant, I rave
I moan,
Even give a little
Groan

It stirs in my blood
A longing, this need
Sometimes just a trickle
Or quite often
A loud, roaring flood
A need arises
Raises its head,
A flower's tender bud,
Then opens

Inside my deeper place
I start to recognize
That for which I hurt,
I sigh
I believe it is this,
This place doesn't fit

This world, this place
Well, it's just wrong
My heart, it misses
Dear Lord, Your face
My fingers itch, they burn
Longing to be allowed
Once again to return
Close enough to trace
Your beauty, Your love's grace

But for now I must live here
This becomes ever more clear
Until I leave this fragile shell
However, for today,
You desire others of You
I must tell

This world's pain,
Which we all daily see
Was never meant to be
Christ's Reconciliation
My Faith's Compensation
A Return to Your perfection
In silence I stand & wait
As one of your heaven's gates
Swings slightly open
Daring to call my name!
