Please, please parents be very vigilant this summer with your little ones in the backyard swimming pools. My little grandson was in the small family swimming pool last Thursday and almost drowned. Horrible experience to try to revive your own grandson. We used the Heimlich maneuver and CPR to slowly bring him back. His lips were turning blue. Thought we had lost him, but Praise God! this week he is running around like nothing happened to him. We got to him just soon enough. So again, please be vigilant with your little ones around the water. I pray God blesses your summer.
It is so sad to see such a great country as ours literally destroying it self morally. There is still good and God’s grace and love in it, but America is slowly dying from moral decay. We have had the sexual revolution of the 60’s but now have the highest divorce rate in the industrialized world and an almost total lack of respect for marriage, the home and the family. We don’t even try to hold our homes together for our own little babies. Sexual morality is falling apart. Our entertainment glorifies sexual promiscuity and infidelity.
We are so caught up in consuming useless man-made things and hedonistic pleasure seeking we can’t hardly see straight. There is more to life than just partying all the time. God meant for our lives to be so much more. Seek His ways. His guidelines for life give it a richer depth and show us we were created to share His love, glory and peace and to reflect that back to each other.
Dear God,
I pray for a spiritual revival in this country. We need you so badly. May we return to the foot of your cross Lord Jesus to find our purpose in this world again. In your name I pray, Amen.

now dipped, drenched

Voices crying out
From every street corner
Vying for attention
Willing to grab, garner
In any way, your eyes
Which leads to
The heart
The inner you, do not
Let the world
Of you have
That part
These voices,
Indiscriminately cry out
Led by the great deceiver
Ceaselessly they shout
From
TV, magazines, airwaves
The Internet
The world in chaos
Do not give in, let
Them have your
Thoughts
Deluded by the greatest
Destroyer of all life
Father of all lies,
Murderer
Do not give them or him
your time
The World & its Media
Walk with blinders
Put on by one more
Clever than man
This Satan,
Do not let him have
Your hand
Do not be led
By his cruel heart
Instead give
Christ
That precious part
Of you
Which shall never die
Your spirit,
Created to be
Like the light
Meant to live in, see
God’s eternal glory!
