The Crowd

The Crowd

Crowds followed him around
From every village
Each and all the towns
As He healed every disease
They'd fall to their knees
Before His face
His special touch
Hoping to receive

Not caring so much
For the blessor
As they wanted the blessing
Later hung Him on a cross
For upon their hearts
All His Words were they
Completely lost

Today don’t we do the same?
Playing little religious games
Do we really passionately
Love our Christ
His Spirit's truth, love, His light
Reveling in His power's creative might
But
Loving Jesus involves obedience
To His commands
Courage to go against
A lost, perverse world's demands
Upon His words we have to,
Must take a stubborn stand
Even when it hurts!!

So prepare yourself
To follow a different crowd
Making a different sound
Lifting up the name of their God
Who upon this darkened dirt
For a few short years actually did trod
Suffered for us thru much pain,
Injustice’s adversity

Today He still holds out
His hands yearningly
For you to follow the artistry
Of His life's commands
Taking your holy stand
Against
Those shifting sands
Of a crowded but very lost
Generation. . .

Matthew 10: 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (King James Version)

Life or Death

Life or Death

This world is lost
I wish it were
Another way
That such words
No one could ever say

But
Unfortunately
It's true
For us
Me and you
For in a Book
Named Jude
Words are written
'Hating even the
Clothing stained
By corrupted flesh'

Saved only by a Savior's
Purest blood
Through Heaven's gates
Now it roars
A cleansing flood
Poured out
From God's love
Encircling our heads
Shining above

So do not
Turn the back
Or you will feel
The terrifying lack
Of being allowed
To be a kinsman
Of the living Christ
For only He can
Give God's grace
His glowing life
And
Save you from
Eternal destruction

Take A Look

Take A Look

Do you want me to
Lie to you
Give you only a
Half-truth
That I will not do
So,
Into God's book
Take a deeper look

Live by His guide
Lines
We will never reach
Perfection
A sin body I
Still carry
I can only struggle in Christ's
Direction

Please, into His words
Take a deeper dive
As they call it
For a closer
Search like that
Well,
Christ will never stall it

Therefore,
Do not yourself hurt
Study His Bible
Memorize its words
And learn of Our Creator's
Incomparable Glory
His Overwhelming
WORTH!!!

His Words!

His Words!

I may have nothing left
But only whispered prayers
Solitary
Receiving glancing stares
Still somehow
I move forward

Tediously,
One foot in front
Of the other
I feel the words
Behind my back
As they gather
Outloud and/or
In the silence

Satan
Demons
Their cloud forms
But,
Words can crush
A soul,
You know

Yet
Another cloud
Rolls down
From above
Made only of
Pure light
Cleared for
Human sight
If you desire
To see

I clap my hands
In glee
In joy run forth
Christ steps
Out
To walk His
Usual course

With only one smile
Raises his hands
Words from between
His fingers fall
To water all
Earth’s dry, parched
Corrupted lands
Bringing New Life!

So follow His
Brightened,
Light-filled words
Glistening on
The path ahead
To find your
Holy God
And you will
Have done your duty
Fulfilled your sacred job!!

Onto The Streets

Onto The Street

He went out
onto the streets
For it was always His
Original Intention
The lost to save and to seek

Sure, in temple courts
He did indeed also teach
But let it be known
That Christ also
Walked the streets
Where the lost, the blind,
The lame
Were never beyond his reach

So take Him out there
For church walls cannot
Will not
Were never meant to contain,
Our King of Glory
It's always the same story
Remember,
Man-made walls were
Never made His words
To imprison
Death could not stop
His Strength, Love or Grace
For Jesus is alive
His has eternally arisen!!!
