Twisted Beauty

Twisted Beauty

Long and lithe
Luxurious
In your sensuality
Yet some would only see
A twisted beauty

Gnarled, darkened in spots
Your limbs still dance at
Water’s edge
Yet still of a life to tell
Do you quietly beg
Even though not nearly as bright
as those rainbow’s lights
Cascading upon a watery top

Once you were the same
As any other
Green, alive, strong
For those days perchance
do you still reminisce & long?
But I say with all sincerity
I find your beauty refreshing
Entrancing

It reminds us that life is life
No matter its age
Or regardless of the stage
Within which it is found
God’s love & care perhaps
May yet best be seen or found
Enwrapped around those
Who all their long life
Have best fulfilled the purposes
of His grace, beauty & His light!

A Study In Contrasts

I could not resist this shot of the contrast between the brilliant light of the day’s sun on the dark surface of the river’s water. Have a blessed day!

A Study In Contrasts

Would we know
Happy without sad
The good without the bad
Light without the dark
Or hot without the cold
Or even God if we had
Not eternal souls?

I do not think I have
The answer for such things
Or can even begin to truly understand
Only our God holds in His gentle hands
The reason behind all such things intended
in His eternity’s great plans.

Fall’s Gilded Girls

In between the hospital stay and now my husband’s rehab clinic stay, I found a few minutes to take photos and write another poem. I hope you enjoy these and have a very blessed day. Praise God!

Fall’s Gilded Girls

Fall’s gilded girls
All in a row
Why would one ever think
In you resides no soul?
Your curly locks
Bright splashes of color
Adorn your heads
As upon no others

Some look at you and
See merely trees
But from only one glance
I believe is seen
The Spirit, the Soul,
If you please,
Of the one who designed
Your bright glistens & gleams

With a powerful hand and
With the greatest of glee
Your bright glories were created
By our God for all to see
And to know that they are truly loved
From His all-joyful Heaven up above
So for our pure pleasure it can be found
To be placed upon your yellowed brow
The brightest of creation’s most golden of crowns

The Lost & Found

Lost & Found

Once there was a TV show
With the title of
Lost
It was only make-believe, fantasy
But
Sadly today it is for many
Their reality

Just look around
In every, village home & town
They are everywhere
It does not take a very
Long or difficult stare
To find them

For them God’s heart aches
You might say it even breaks
So if we are to do, fulfill
His most passionate
& good,& holy will
To them we must go

He does not want them
To live as in that show
Always lost and seeking
God desires greatly to be Found
To put everyone back standing
Upright on His Most Holy Ground

To The Creator

To The Creator

What can the created
Give to the Creator?
Someone so holy
Righteous, Perfectly Pure
But yet, I will try
With each broken sigh
To fulfill that of which
You dreamed
That purpose, that destiny
Living deep within the heart of me!

First Blushes

I am blessed enough to live in an area of the world where we have all four seasons. The first blushes of autumn are just beginning with a few reds, oranges and golds in the tree leaves. I hope everyone can enjoy their autumn. Have a great day. Praise God!

First Blushes

First blushes
Are like
First loves
Are
Exciting
Tingling from your
Nose to your toes

Like a drug of
Exhilaration
So are nature’s
First blushes
As season’s change
Just a first glimpse
Introduction,
Anticipation
Of something
Beautiful yet
To come

So as autumn’s
First colors
Come out to play
They remind that
Life is here to stay
This is a whispered
Promise
Of even more joy
On the way

But why or
Maybe,
Perhaps
Autumn dies in
Such fiery glories
Of raging oranges, reds
& golds
Because it will be
God’s fiery intense love
That ends all the struggles
For man’s eternal soul
ushering out everything old

So, as angels begin to
Sing
Of approaches of winter
Their voices remind us
Another re-creation
Awaits from God
Re-created New World,
End of all pain, strife
Suffering
As we look into the face
Of our Resurrected King
He announces the return
Of mankind’s new Spring!
