Condemnation

Condemnation

Condemnation
Such a harsh word
Denotes a punishment
Or even perhaps
A scourge

America's church
Should stop
Take a deep breath
We have entered
A time unique,
Unprecedented
A time of great tests

A culture caught
Tightly, as never before
In satan's grasp
Many lost souls
To his dark chest
Does he clasp

Because
A silent church
Has lost its passion
For the All Powerful
Living Christ
By comfort &
Convenience
Has it been enticed

So we have become
Cowards
At our work
Afraid to speak
His Holy Name
Or simply
As we play a game

Or is it because
We've become too lazy
Allowing all the crazies
To overwhelm our culture
Instead of us helping
God's Holy Spirit
Our lives to nurture

So before God completely condemns
His blessed more than most
American church
Let us once again
Become a shining star
Stop denying
No longer pretend
As cowardice & laziness
Are attractive on no one!

Revelation 3: 15-16 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Flitter Away

Flitter Away

Sad
To watch
It flitter about
Even it twitters about
Stalls. Crashes.
Falls.

This waste of precious time
Throwing away of minds
Reaching for the subpar
Mundane, mediocre
(Or less than)
When instead
We could touch the sublime

The mind (&heart) of God
Calls out to us
Every heartbeat
Every breath
Every moment a test
Of your reply

Call out to Him
He'll call out even louder
Return to you even more power
To every moment, each hour
Live in the basking
Glow of His face
So we will no longer
Have to trace
That wretched waste
(The flitter away)
Of our precious life's time!!!

We Say

We Say

I say this
You say that
Words flying thru the air
Tossed into that great hat
Of a world's opinions

Changing almost by the hour
Quickly coming in increasing showers
From the human ever restless heart
At an ancient beginning, our start
No end in sight to this
Our dark, yet most refin-ed art

In opposition to more elevated words
Trying strongly man's destiny to turn
Spun from heaven's celestial higher calling
Still we stumble, tumble over our mispronuciations to continue falling
Over our own words

We ruin ourselves our lives
With crude, more crass words every day
When will we ever learn the
Value in those words
our only God has such to say?

God's words can lift us higher
Ignite in us once more a Spirit's fire
Able to lift out of a dark murk & mire
Of our own creating

We should listen
To what God has to say
With His shining verbal pearls
Enhancing all our days
Speaking crystal shards of truth
To deny satan's stabbing wounds
As in eternity an ancient enemy's darkness
God forever will at last exclude!!!

Celestial

Celestial

A great army gathers
A trumpet blast will scatter
All tranquility
At its head, Your Holy Son
No enemy carries the ability
From this One to run

Each warrior is armed, braced
Swords, shields in place
Powerful & determined
Your battle plans, Lord Jesus
In Your book so holy
The words clearly do confirm and
Set forth!

So, beloved, while you
Still have a chance
As around this world, your life
You take a glance
Make sure you make the
Best choice
For to be on the right side
Of the sword
In your now, you must listen
To Christ’s voice!!

Destiny

Destiny

Glory shattered on a tree
But only temporarily
Lifted upward into an azure sky
Why oh why does this always
Give me the urge to endlessly cry?

Because,
It was perfect love on display
Selflessly giving itself away
And for us fallen creatures
His creation’s men
Did it only so a pain-free home
One day we would be allowed to win

Jesus dying in a horrible agony
Lifting His face to His Father’s Heaven
And seeing into this earth’s future
Thought of only you and me
With that last beat of His Loving Heart
Creating for us a higher, purer destiny!

My Value!!

My Value!

My value does not
come from you
But the One who
Came to recreate
Me anew
To Christ
Is all of my loyalty due

So
Forgive me, dear friends
If I've learned to refuse
To listen to what
You tell me to do
My trust for my value
Belongs in that One
The Only One,
Who died For me

It's in His eyes
That I sink or swim
In whom all my worth,
This world’s reality
Begins & ends!!
