In the Snow
In the snow
They go
These blue-grey ghostly,
Shadowy footprints in the white
Maybe even dead of night
To and fro
They never seem to
Slow
Even up the steps
They go
Do you possibly
suppose
Unbeknown they
May leave behind,
Expose.
A small piece of each

In the Beginning – Chronicle III

In The Beginning Chronicle III Eden’s glory on Full review In yellows, Greens & Brilliant azure blues Unflawed life With Perfection’s love No displeasure felt About which to sigh Walking under clearest skies Nor reason or complaint Over which to die Wait, what is that, To die? Understood not yet Or known No pain or regret With which to live Only joy & love A thing called death Living only in the shadows Air is always clean & fresh Only peace is Ever seen Between earth, sky & the sea Man & all animals Live only & always In harmony to be Food abundant Work is no toil No displeasure there To ever despoil Its sense of purpose Or the ease Of life lived under Gentle trees Swaying softly overhead At night only rest Is found in all their beds Until one day With a slight chill An unknown shadow passes A rustling in the grasses Never heard before The man stopped to sniff The air The woman paused to express only a mild care But in naivete On that most unusual day Neither knew from Experience they lacked What formidable evil Slithered, Invading their Paradise Now lurking & looming Behind their backs

Book Review – Poetry

I got the opportunity to do a book review of a new book of poetry. It is the first book for Kathi Burg, and is available on Amazon.
This is a lovely little book containing uplifting messages for anyone struggling through difficult circumstances. With simple yet clear writing, Kathi leaves uplifting words for life’s difficulties and dark struggles. God is in the middle of all our valleys in life and wants to love us through and in the middle of them. You will enjoy the hope that these poems will leave you with. Almost every poem is illustrated with beautiful pictures that colorfully convey the meaning behind the verses.
Have a blessed day!
Cars Go Creeping

Cars are Creeping
Cars are creeping
& no one is leaping
On those icy streets
Parking lots are dotted
As with deicing salt they are besotted
& stores are hoping
their customers to keep
In my part of the world
Unused we are to this much ice
So even as much as they try
Still we must moan & cry
We need more Salt!
So every thing comes to a halt
As we slip & slide
Inexperienced with
this much Snow & Ice
Wave as we go coasting thru
(my car with a mind of its own
Is now imbued)
Unable to halt at all
At each or any little red stop sign!
Where I live we are not used to ice and snow hardly at all so almost everything comes to a halt with only a small amount of snow. This time, however, we got a large amount of ice (just glad the electrics did not go out). Hope everyone is having a good day and Praise God for His love, mercy & joy!
In the Beginning – Chronicle II

In the Beginning Chronicle II A loud voice boomed “What is that I hear” Trembling on a marble step Leading to the throne A loyal angel replied Almost with a groan, “It is not good news I fear Your Grace.” “Tell me.” The answer came, “We have A problem, A never seen before rebellion. Coming from your favored one, The leader of all angels.” “Leave me. I will discuss this With my Son.” So, in heaven it was decided This would not be abided Creation does not tell its Creator how to create or lead. For the very first time In all of infinity Expulsion from this place Was decided by The Holy Trinity satan would have to be removed from the presence of God’s face. But he did not go quietly The battle for God’s throne Was waged with ferocity As they refused God to still praise Swords were raised And some were slain By flinging them into Dark dungeons This once bright Glorious angel, Their leader, now was dark God’s love, light Mercy & grace Had flown from his heart Empty was he now Filled only with an all-consuming Lust for God’s crown So, in sorrow, God had to retaliate satan was flung out Of heaven’s gates Thrown to earth to roam Forever more alone Never to enter again His once heavenly home As for his followers Well, They are held in a kind Of hell In dark prisons They are chained Awaiting that great day Of the Lord When all will be judged Who have rebelled Against God’s name It is so sad, it is a shame That their rightful place In glory They never will be able To reclaim.
Deadwood
Dead Wood You see them lying On creek beds Where by watery vistas They have been led Or resting on river sides Carried by the ferocity Of the moving currents’ tides These pieces of dead wood Would anyone have thought They could or better yet should End up in such a useless heap Their limbs jangling, Lamenting in such a lonely keep But Oh, dear friend This is not their end For these shed no tears Have no fear Christ's smallest finger Can transcend Hell's darkest pit In such a place He will not Allow anyone to linger Have faith If you will just believe and God's tranquil waters You will be allowed to see!
