Community Life is not just about me Or you & you It is about all of us, This whole frail planet of dust One large community In this we must believe, trust My country & also yours Every one, small & large Bears the terrible scars Of an enemy’s lies Seeking to tear down, destroy About this he has never been coy Plainly wishes us to end & all his battles to win Masquerading sometimes As an angel of light (he does not easily give up the fight) Lies, kills, deceives All to bring us to our knees In searing pain Railing against God’s Holy Name Before his strength does wane As he knows it for certain will So our joys he seeks to kill And our salvation steal But, If as one we will all follow The One whose name Is forever above all If we answer Christ’s call Then assured is satan’s fall & his power rings most hollow So, let all believers agree to be One united world-wide community That standing together no matter the cost We all will assuredly see Our loving Christ’s glory & victory!!
A New Box We substitute Tendency to loot From Box to Box Compartmentalizing Our way Thru each & every Day A Box for home A Box for work A Box for fun Then the tiniest, tiniest box Finally for our spirit & God So in they go Into the larger Boxes What we believe to be Major spaces of our lives But the most important parts We then minimalize Why do we put God In a box so tiny After all He is large Runs a universe So very shiny With suns & moons Black holes Created endless numbers Of souls Let Him have all Your Boxes So give it a Shot Take God out Of that smallest Box Pour the contents Of all your Boxes Into God’s large one In that way They might all Become the same He & His Son Will be sure to run Each Box’s contents With only The very best of intents And extreme care For He only wants to share Himself, that Ultimate Paradise With you!
We got a break in the rain today so I pulled out the old bicycle and did my usual ride on our greenway system. Today was different in that there were fewer people out because it was still cloudy and looked like it might rain at any second, but the ride was worth the risk. It was nice to not have the sun out. It made it so much cooler even though, as it usually is here in the southern United States, the humidity was very high. It makes the air feel sometimes like walking around in a warm, thick blanket you wish you could get rid of but unfortunately cannot.
Most of our regular walkers must have stayed in because of the rain threat so for most of my ride I had the greenway pretty much to myself. It was very relaxing, and I shared the morning with mostly a few stately old trees and wildflowers still clinging on through to the end of August. It was very peaceful and quiet. Nature’s beauty can have a calming effect if you will allow it to. Thank You and Praise You, God, for making the world so beautiful just for our pleasure! Below is a quick poem that came in the middle of my bike ride. Have a blessed day!!
Nature will talk If you will take the time To listen Allow yourself a walk Among the unspoken words She's anxious to say Always attempting To improve your day!
While You Can Praise the God of This earth The sky & the seas I lift my hands in praise As in joy I fall to my knees! Thank-full for the breath in my lungs While I still have it For even now to your glory Are there songs yet to be sung For the beat of my heart, This you have created, As I praise your Holy Name I plead for my country’s sin To be abated! I do all of this while I can For we all know Death stops for no man So before I return to that dried dust, Whilst still residing in this earthly shell & of Him yet able to tell I will praise God’s name & wait most joyfully As He brings re-creation, The world’s Salvation, To those who choose All their old ways to lose To live forever with our Christ In His beautiful & renewed Paradise!!
Psalm 150 Praise the Lord Praise God in His sanctuary praise Him in His mighty heavens Praise Him for His acts of power praise Him for His surpassing greatness praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet praise Him with the harp and lyre praise Him with timbrel and dancing praise Him with the strings and pipe praise Him with the clash of cymbals praise Him with resounding cymbals Let everything that has breath praise the Lord Praise the Lord
I just thought this was good way to start off the day after Christmas Day. Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas, that everyone stayed safe. May God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit bless and guide your day today.
Everything comes from
In our case, this world, we,
Came from Someone
With this fact for a moment
Let us just run
Full of grace
From the love light
Emanating from His
So, let us bend the knee
Open the heart fully with
with eyes that see
Our Lord, Creator
And within our hearts
Let Him be reborn
With all His full power
And glory To Shine
