Winter

I got to enjoy a bike ride along our river’s greenway. Even though it was cold, still I enjoyed the trees, water and some wildlife. Without their leaves, you can really see the actual shapes of the trees, especially the beautiful old sycamore trees with all their white bark. Winter's beauty
Owns its own allures
Exhibited in true joys
Although not as green
As luscious summer's toys
But still entertaining
Desiring also our
Approval to be gaining
For remember after all
Tis the mighty hand of God
Creates its chilly framing
And it's rampant charms 
Oh so most beguiling

No One Else!

Has ever died
For me
Hanging on 
A bloody, agonizing tree
For all this world to see
That day,
All history shifted
From pain, shame
Toward one man's name
Jesus of Nazareth
In one word's breath
Christ

Just remember
No other 'god' before
Ever dared to try to 
Even man's score
By taking on itself
The punishment
Of its own creation
Only Christ
Indeed there was 
No dereliction
Of His duties

So please remember
Dear friends
As your life
Continues its 
Progressing
There are
Important matters
Much more
Pressing
Faith in Christ,
Hope, Love
For you see
Upon the existence
Of their surety
Rests entirely
Your eternity's security

Less of the angers

The hatreds

The greed



To empty myself

Of all worldly lusts

Waging war

Themselves

Into my heart,

Battling,

They thrust



With their painful swords

They slice

Fighting to cut

heaven's cords

But your hands

With Your love's power

Your fingers

Around my soul

Entwined

Reaching deep

No satanic, hellish

Demons

Can ever reach



So that is why

Every day

I must repeat

As I work, play

Walk or sleep

Not I but You

In me that lives

My salvation

Dear Christ

You protect

And into eternity

You keep!

Untainted

Uncorrupted

Perfect Goodness

On display

Every day

So no one can say

They do not know You



How huge

How massive

The realization

That the Lord of All

The only God 

Of this creation

Desires for man

To live with Him

Forever



So do not say

He does not exist

You do not know Him

For the stars above

Turn, they twist

Only within God's grip

We should all 

Learn how to praise

His Name

Even His holy angels

Eternally desire 

To realize the same

A very big issue

Today

In homes

We abandon each other

Spouses, children

God never intended

For each to suffer

Such

At the hands

Of one another



Core issue is,

Of course,

We have abandoned

The Book

God's Book

We have forgotten

Rebelled

No longer into

It's guidelines

Deeply look



For when you

Abandon it

You abandon Him

Lord, Master, Creator

And

Writer

Of His Book

On which

With all our strength,

Souls,

We should

Have stood



So let us return

In this country

Still fairly young

To our first

greatest love

Words in 

Black and white

Literally flowing

From above

Telling of Christ,

GOD'S

Glory

And His Paradise's Story!

The One that slung

The stars into existence

Who walks upon the steps

Of time and space

The only One

Capable of creating

His human race



To love as His beloved child

To protect and keep us

Away from evils darkest wilds

His Holy Hands to guide

Away from the sins

Of arrogance, too much pride



So under His loving wings

Of protection

If you will choose

Let us take shelter

As Christ beheld her

Us, His holy church,

The one He died for

The one He truly adores

May we land our souls

Upon His intended destiny

Of Heaven's sweetest shores!
