My Debts

 My Debts

Up to my eyeballs in debt
 I sigh I moan
 I truly, deeply regret
 What I have done
 To myself

 No one else to blame
 Oh, the embarrassing shame!
 Oh, what I cannot claim
 Of wisdom

 Loud commercials
 Made it seem so real
 Oh, their endless appeal
 So, I got sucked in
 By the alluring din
 Of a greedy world

So now I am an endless slave
This I can mostly certainly say
 Onward I go
 Trying to show
 A new confidence

 I slug away
 Each morning, new day
 At the mountainous debt
 Trying to correct
 This wreck
 I’ve made of my life

 I know it will end
 And I will never, ever,
 Ever again spend
 Myself into this death march
 toward another fresh & open
 financial grave

Probably not such a good poem for this time of year, right before the biggest gift giving holiday, but still timely I hope. Remember it’s only one day out of the year. Remember God loves you and wants only the best for you and your family. Have a blessed and peace filled day!

Revolutionary’s Sounds

 Revolutionary’s Sounds

 Whirling, twirling
 Swept up into the air
 Revolutionary sounds
 Were everywhere,
 all around

 Ignored they were
 But they were heaven’s cure
 For what was wrong
 Within the songs
 Of man

 For all our evil,
 Corruption unbound,
 Still they refused to see
 What God had pleased
 To send them

 So only a few listened
To the man on the cross
 Ignoring from his lips
 The purest, shining gloss
 Of a revolution’s sounds

 Bringing words of
 Great worth
 Love, joy, peace
 To His earth
 Heaven’s purest, pearls
 Our souls He did seek

 And so Christ did die
 On the very rocky ground
 He had created
 Our God,
 Alone and bound
 But still left behind
 For those who choose
 The fiery, purest joy of
 His Revolutionary’s Sounds!!

Not Even in A Blender

 Not Even in A Blender

 Blades whir,
 Solids dissolve
 Large chunks puree
 Into a goo

 Blenders good
 For many things
 In our kitchens
 They do bring
 From many foods
 Convergence into one

 Unfortunately, in life
 Things are not always so
 Some things cannot,
 Should not mix
For the welfare of our souls

 The dark and the light
 Will never mix
 Nothing that a blender
 was ever meant to fix
 Never meant to be

 As oil is to water
 Separate from the
 Beginning
 God’s light will
 Not ever allow
 satan’s dark to stop
 His shining!

 So do not fear
 Shed not too many tears
 There is the one that
 Took our place
 Opened Heaven’s
 Pearly gates
 Christ paved the way
 Saved all our days
 From the whirling,
 swirling blades,
 that chaos of the darkness.

Parallel Universes

 Parallel Universes

 I’ve heard the words used
 Before
 Parallel universes
 From several books
 Those words are torn,
 Borrowed
 If you please

 Also in theories of those
Who do not like to be told
 Of a living God
 and
 only one single universe,
 HIS

 In old science fiction
 Books
 If you care to look
 Words like the above
 Are used
 Into this you are welcome
 To peruse

 In another ancient book
 Words are used
 If the truth you wish
 to persue
It speaks of this life we see
 Of this for yourself
 You may read

 A Bible, ancient &
 Holy
 Tells Gods story
 Of creation from
 Nothing
 Of all of this
 Something
 Which surrounds us

 But it also speaks
 Of what we cannot see
 With just physical eyes
 It speaks of spirits
 Good and bad
 & choices to be had
 By us

 Of angels, demons
  A destructive satan
 A loving Savior
 A Holy God of
 Spirit
 Of Heaven & hell
In its words it does tell
 Of these parallels

 Unseen but not unfelt
 In your heart,
 Spirit,
I think most of us know
 It exists
 Draw closer to God and
He will draw closer to you

 This is the truth
 He wants you to know
 For certain
 He wants to open
 The curtain
 Between the two

For us these two levels of
 Existence
 Are the very substance
 We are made of
 Both physical and
 Spiritual
 Existing in both
 We are clearly told

 As a hand fits
 Into a glove
 The spiritual above
 dwells within our
 Physical below
 More & more
 You will become aware
 As You let God indwell
 Your core essence,
 Your very Soul!

  So take a look around
 It will astound
 And should remind
 Of how frail this
 Physical is

Purpose

 Purpose

 People speak of wanting
 Purpose to fill their time
 Frame of mind
 Purpose as written
 Within the lines
 Of a dictionary means

 An act with an intention
 Or determination
 Another word, purposeful,
 means to be meaningful
 To move toward one’s goal

God, before all time or even
 Before we were created,
 Set for us a goal
 Determined by just himself
 If all truth be told

 A relational God set
 The goal
 For us & Him
 An intimacy so close
 Relationship with Him
 We were meant to be
 His friend

 What more could a man
 Ask
 For a purpose
 Than to be given
 The task
 Of being our great
 God’s friend!

 Yet Created to follow,
Will take you as you are
Dare I say, to be a part
 of his entourage,
 Holiness, set apart
 Remembering the precepts of
 His great Heart

 So, follow your Living God
 Even if the whole world
 upon you trods
 Fulfill your purpose
Of which a Holy book tells
& follow the path of Christ
Even if it leads thru hell.

The Pocket of Your Heart

 Pocket in Your Heart

 Place me in a pocket
 In your heart
Where I was meant to be
 From the very start

 Though fear, shame
 Humiliation
 Made me feel
 I did not belong
 satan’s lie in that
 you’ve shown

 The great chambers
 And their walls
 Within the center of
 Your being
 Pulsate with the call

 Return to me
& I will return to you
 Your Spirit cries
 Cannot deny
 The love throbbing
 Within your voice

 The greatest love
 Man will ever know
 Swirling, twirling
 thru dark ethers
 of a universe
 Ends at earth
 Within a holy glow

 We were created
 To live close
 So close
 To dance within the
 Vapors of God's breath
 Never meant for us
 To be apart
 Or ever face a death

 But until that death
 Or your return
 I will willingly bend
 my knee and
 just wait
No more your love to spurn!
