Morning Prayer - A Beautiful Day!
Come Lord Jesus
Let’s have a beautiful day!
Keep my eyes focused up
Toward your ever flowing cup
Of Your Purest Joy & Love
Thank you for letting me look above
Toward your beaming, smiling Face
Unending Overwhelming Mercy & Grace
Of this, I desperately need
A very large spoonful’s taste!
Help me stay focused off
The chaotic darkness below
Our wars, pain & greed
Allowing me to clearly perceive
Your Radiant Perfection’s Glow
A different way & place to live
Is what you always wished to give
Eternity’s paradise, those opened gates
To a much better place
And the overwhelming beauty
Found only on your Holy Face!
So Forget!
A world barges in
Rude & loud, using force
Seeking its own way
To get me off my course
From you, Lord Christ
So,
On I must struggle
To stay away
From seeking its
Loud, belligerent way
&
listen to your gentle voice
instead
So, F O R G E T
Your large house
Your sleek, ramblings cars
Persistent pleasure seeking
In Him only
Am I believing!
Toward His cross
Am I retreating!
Toward a better life
& a Living Son’s Paradise!!!
What teens today are watching is absolutely abhorrent. Boy, do I sound like I’m 90 years old, or WHAT? “Back in myyyy day, we had to walk three miles to school in the snow, uphill both ways…without shoes.” But all jokes aside, I recently watched the hit teen drama, “Euphoria” — starring and produced by…
In The Above
In the above, those celestial skies
Surely, God must shake His head & sigh
‘Will they never learn’?
He watches as we all despise
His love’s most generous guidelines
But still I suppose
As only He most assuredly knows
& so forward & on He goes
Still trying our souls to win
Keep us from that damning sin
Of our total & defiant rebellion
But,
Lucky for us,
Our God is not a quitter
We are the ones
Who turn our backs & run
From
His wonderful perfect grace
Reflected in Beauty’s Love on His Face
So,
Be different from the rest
Do not put God to the test
Stay, live to enjoy
Those Eternal Pleasures in store
Between Infinity’s Gates they await!
Fiery Fingers
May fiery fingers touch
For a rebirth of Your church
Which only water & Your Spirit
Can re-ignite!
Renew a radical passion
For the Living Christ
His glorious power & might
Beheld in a scalding light
Of newness & true life!
Live within the warmth, affection
Of Spirit, Father & a Holy Son
As found only in that Blessed Trinity
Give to all who sincerely struggle to look
A Wise clarity’s power to truly see!
To Mars?
Our bodies were not made
To live on Mars
Are there not problems enough
To solve on this planet
Revolving as it does amidst
The burning stars?
Curiosity and learning is one thing
But
What about curiosity for eternity, God, Christ,
the destiny that awaits in His Paradise
Drawing nearer to our Creator
This God who leaned so close
Took on our form, our flesh
To withstand our cruelty’s test
Of dying on a bloodied cross
So would not our time be better spent
If to our time and energies we lent
The pursuit, reaching for the reality
of the Universe’s space
And went instead in search
of our Lord Creator’s face?
