The Gate
This,
An unusual gate
An unusual shape
Formed
Of two wooden beams
Not entirely an
Unbroken seam
What's known as
A Cross
On it people were hung
By hands or wrists
From its one horizontal rung
Until
No longer down here
Did they exist
Left to die
Against God's pale blue sky
But
For them it was not
The end
For them the journey
Was it just about
To begin
Their souls released
To step through a gate
Into eternal peace
Or into a darker pain
For them,
Their existence would
Never be the same
Christ took that dark
Symbol of man's brutality
And turned it into the new
Reality
Of God's goodness,
Forgiveness
Love
Falling in heavenly showers
Of Jesus Christ's blood
So won't you step through
This heavenly gate
Opened daily,
Always freely to you
But remember,
Only by your own faith
As your Creator's joy-filled
Heart awaits
Do its portals swing wide
To reveal His Glorious Paradise inside!!

Serenity
God wants to give us peace found within His presence and trust in Him. He never intended this world and life to be this painful for us. So I hope you can draw closer to Him and find that peace and serenity He really wants to give you. Praise God! Here is a link to this video also on my You Tube channel: https://youtu.be/I9W8FkjzTSA
Serenity
Serenity
Whispers in the breeze
Enveloping
Like a warm blanket
Pleasantly around me
In crystals of bright sunlight
Or in darker shadows cast
Here in the now and the future
Or sleeping enshrined
Within my past!
Broken

Video is also available on youtube at https://www.youtu.be/eNmgOWUjfdM Hope you enjoy!
Broken
Broken politics
Symptoms of a broken culture
With too many broken morals
Or lack thereof
A world so sick
It killed its own Creator
Hung Him on a dead, dry stick
Dying in
Our place
As is found in a
Holy, Holy, Holy Bible
Words do tell of
So it is
Words do explain
Therefore, it is
Guidelines by which to live
Hope, love, joy, peace
It seeks to give
So at last
To end, to mend
The brokenness
Resurrection!

Resurrection
Demon's danced in glee
At the feet of the man
Dying upon a bitter tree
Storm clouds gathered
Sun darkened
Ground was shaken
Rocks split, tombs opened
Dead bodies walked, renewed
Hoping to gain even a brief view
As Christ breathed His last
Or did He?
Because . . .
A few days later
Dear friends walked upon
A garden's sod
To perfume a dead man's body
Instead . . .
Were given a glimpse
Of their risen God
By His gentle voice
Once more were they met
As from a now empty tomb
He had just stepped
They rejoiced, rejoiced
Again were allowed
To hear their dear Savior's voice
Such joy in heaven
Could not be contained
For at even the slightest mention
Of His Holy Royal Name
All of His powerful angels shout
HALLELUYAH! HALLELUYAH!
Winter

I got to enjoy a bike ride along our river’s greenway. Even though it was cold, still I enjoyed the trees, water and some wildlife. Without their leaves, you can really see the actual shapes of the trees, especially the beautiful old sycamore trees with all their white bark. Also got to watch some mallard ducks trolling for food in the river. Also, check out the video above on my youtube channel at https://youtu.be/ZrjWsbPNLOY Have a blessed day!
Winter
Winter's beauty
Owns its own allures
Exhibited in true joys
Although not as green
As luscious summer's toys
But still entertaining
Desiring also our
Approval to be gaining
For remember after all
Tis the mighty hand of God
Creates its chilly framing
And it's rampant charms
Oh so most beguiling

Not
We are not
The God of this world
Never have been
Never will we be
Only
A part of His creation
Earth, water, sky & sea
Immortal living souls
Formed
As life arose
In His hands
From the dust,
The dirt
Of His created land
So follow your Creator
Even if we are only
Temporary vapors
Here today
Gone tomorrow
Living in some joys
Yet still at times
Very great sorrows
But,
Follow Christ still
That man who
Shed His blood
Upon a crusty hill
For that was
Their will,
God's will,
To always bring you
Back home!
