Today in Middle Tennessee it very cold but oh, the sun is out so bright. It at least looks very beautiful. It had been fairly warm for this time of year so a lot of the flowering trees are already in bloom and a few buttercups were out. I just hope this short cold snap doesn’t damage all the small flowers. Anyway, it is pretty outside. I just wanted to share a quick Haiku below with you. May God bless your day!
Haiku for a Spring Morning (even though it’s very cold)
Spring’s sun warms the earth Christ’s love lights the darkest soul God’s great grace fills both!!
I know in this world, especially in our very wealthy, money-oriented culture that is so in love with money, possessions, and pleasure, we have a tendency to deny or neglect the spiritual aspects of our lives. We are truly spirits only temporarily connected to our physical shell.
I have had several supernatural experiences, and what I guess I’m trying to lead up to is I have had three encounters with demons, very dark creatures.
The first happened many years ago when I was going through a very dark time in my life but trying to draw closer to Christ and God and the Holy Spirit. I woke up one night and a dark mass felt like it was laying on my chest. I was afraid and all I could think to do was say “In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, be gone.” It immediately was gone, left.
The second encounter was when I was on my first round of chemotherapy for my breast cancer. I was sleeping in an old recliner and suddenly woke up. I looked down and this dark person was laying on top of me. I think it was trying to look like me as a child. It looked up at me, smiled a perverted smile and asked, “Susie, what are you trying to do with this book.” I naturally was frightened but again said, “In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, be gone.” Within a heartbeat, it was gone. I was at the time working on a novel which I have finished about the divisions within our Christian churches or the denominations we have created.
The third experience came about while I was still suffering fatigue from all the cancer treatments. One night I was awake, and suddenly, a strong looking man was in the room with me. He had no color to him at all. He was black with shades of gray. I said, “In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, be gone.” He said to me, “No, it doesn’t work that way.” I immediately yelled for a second time, “Oh yes, it does. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, be gone.” And he disappeared instantaneously.
In all three experiences, each creature reeked, literally smelled, of evil, violent destruction. There is nothing good about satan or demons. The only thing that got rid of them was to speak or call upon the name of Jesus Christ! Praise you Lord Jesus for the beauty of your face, your great and loving heart and also for your wonderful power and authority over everything in creation. Bless you Lord!! Thank you for your salvation from all of satan’s schemes against us.
It is for this I long I sigh Not I That lives But Christ that lives Within me This gift Not from us It is Heaven's Holiest decree Comes about Thru submission On bended knee
So give God as much As you can He gave His passion's best To each woman Every man For this we should Do our best And Come To understand Without Christ's giving There would have been For us no taking And now In our today, Evil's hold On all our souls Has at last been Eternally SHAKEN!!
Fat cats, Fat cats Sitting all in line Meowing, screeching Even do they whine Look at me They groom themselves Do we not look So supremely fine
Spoiled are they Pampered No wonder they do not care To stray Here in this place They remain Remarkably so safe
But outside dangerous winds They blow Sometimes you must Face the cold winds For true courage To begin to grow
So step outside your comfort’s walls Harken to a truer call Follow a softer voice But it must be Of your own choice Again, step out A dark world in need awaits You just may be surprised Even a fat cat may be allowed To help someone through Heaven's shining golden gates!!
